I think the mods are competiting regardless how cooperative the FfH and WH makers are. These mods are close to each other making them competitive. That´s a fact and you can´t do anything to help it.

Thats good for Firaxis, good for FfH and good for Warhammer.
What can we do to increase that percentage? Right now its just make sure everyones product is as good as possible. Which is why I spend a lot of time writing how to guides.
The better each mod does the better all the others will do. Some players will try Warhammer after playing FfH and some will try FfH after playing Warhammer. But if they enjoy Warhammer they are more likely to try FfH and vise-versa. Since they are free downloads its not like a player has to choose between them. A player can have both, better for him, better for us.
But Warhammer has a special place for me because we share resources. So even beyond the marketing aspects some of the work that goes into Warhammer directly improves FfH when we share units and such. A lot of units we use in FfH were intially made for Warhammer. And Ploeperpengel has been the top outside contributor to FfH since I intially made that list.
Thx for your suggestions. Units are still in a basic design but suggestions like that help us to revamp them much later.Arathlan said:Hey all,
Downloaded and played - love the game. Love warhammer actually
Just a minor gripe - as the game progressed it kept slowing my system, more so than Civ normally does - I'm not really sure why. More importantly, I was getting some of the graphics dimming to the point of blackness. I first noticed it on units, and then parts of the cities were getting darker and darker - and then black.
I'm also a little unsure of the stats given to high elf bolt throwers (okay, I'm a high elfer), as I really don't think it's a seige weapon - it should be amphibious and have bonuses against mounted and melee - but then I suppose eventually Elves won't have access to musketmen and cannons I assume?
Also, gunpowder (musketmen) seem overpowered. The blackpowder technology in WHFB is hardly good enough to negate the effects of city walls - otherwise warhammer seige would be even more unbalanced. Flyers should be able to negate the effects of city walls (and possibly be defended agaisnt by a hoarding?), not gunpowder, but cannons probably could...
Hmm... Aside from that - THANK YOU for building this!

About your bug report that's really strange. Are you sure everything is in order with your system? What system specs are you using? And when did it start? Also can you post savedgames?
Anyone else got this?
You might try using Free RAM XP pro during the games. I found that a useful tool against stuffed RAM while gaming civArathlan said:Okay - the darkness issue corrected itself after I reloaded the last save - I'm guessing that's a memory leak then...
Sorry.

Tue2000 said:Ehm they are revamping the whole mod for Warlords and are not gonna release any more pathes or updates for Retail version of Civ4.... They have clarified several times that there will be nothing new before they are ready to release a playable Warlords version.... So have patience.
