I had some time to look at some of the new stuff :)

Some notifications about the new civ, chaos dwarfs:
- they can build kingships, which I think, is error.
- the blunderbuss is available at invention, when I'd rather see it at gunpowder (like all other handgun units).
- the earthshaker cannon is quite weak, or have you edited all bombard values (I think you have)? I also think that the availability (at advanced siegecraft - before gunpowder & metallurgy) is a bit awkward.

Also in general, should the ogre kingdom resource become visible at dogs-of-war, and the two upgrades for ogres should become later?

I can't seem to find the difference between WH2.1.biq and WH2.1a.biq, and yes I have checked the readme. Also, Black Orc Warriors are black, but Black Orc Infantry are green? Lost me on that one.
 
if its not too much trouble can someone please explain or post a link to instructions on how to get this mod running. i've had the warhammer 2.0 and its patch running for a long time now and i have installed this mod in the default directory but i can not seem to see where i boot this thing up.

I appreciate all the hard work it takes for people to create these wonderful mods but perhaps a few more minutes could be spent explaining how to make it work for pc noobs such as me. thanks in advance. soory if instructions have been posted but i cant seem to find them.
 
you need to put it into your MAIN Civ3 folder, not in any of it's subdirectories (it does that for you). The loader files seem to start with Conquests/Scenarios/WH2... so yea, just put it into your main Civ3 folder and the loader will do the rest.
 
thanks i did that. now when i try to run civ3 conquests it tells me that my civ3conquests.exe no longer exists so i am unable to load the game at all.

EDIT: uninstalled everything, re-installed everything, everything works fine. Dunno what was wrong before
 
I was looking a bit through the Civilopedia.txt -file, and I noticed that some new units have additional civilopedia description included, but they have false (?) entry:
in some places there reads for example #DESC_Hellcannon, where there should read #DESC_PRTO_Hellcannon.

Here's a file where I've fixed (?) civilopedia file (I haven't tried it in the game yet) where I've added that missing PRTO_ in the entries I've discovered. I've also added some civilopedia info to some units. I'll check the file when I get home, or if someone else wishes to check if it's functional, be my guest :)

Great mod (expansion) Some coments, I think the tree man is to weak compared to teh rest of the units in nature lore, Bug the picture for the lynch priest civilipedia is messed up.
 
Are there any unit for dark elves in the military traning ? havn't found any...

I've found these:
- LichePriestLarge.pcx -error (the \units -folder is missing in the pedia entry line: art\civilopedia\icons\units\LichePriestLarge.pcx
- Bestigor is available at Artificing?
- Blunderbuss is available at Invention?
- Earthshaker Cannon is available at Advanced Siegecraft?
- SpearChukca is available at Feudalism (and is weaker than rock lobber, available at siegecraft)?
- Dwarf Bolt thrower is available at Feudalism (and is weaker than stone thrower, available at siegecraft)?
- Both Ushabti and LichePriest are mentioned to start golden age for Khemri. Only Ushabti really can do that.
- Army is not available for Chaos dwarfs (according to the civ3-editor).

Nice new update. Just started playing. Didn't change anything so I got somewhat of a chock when I noticed that Elimination was put to 1 city, isn't that a tad low? You just find the largest civ out there and their newest or weakest city and take it out and the entire empire just crumbles. It even works with cultural conversion, you convert one city and take it and the empire it came from crumbles.
 
For the Sylvanian civ, their Undead Spearman unit uses the Tomb Kings (Khemri) Undead Spearman graphic instead of the Vampire Lords (Sylvania) Undead Spearman graphic. Maybe you just didn't include the Sylvanian Undead Spearman for some reason, I don't know. But the Civilopedia shows the image of the Sylvanian Undead Spearman, but in the game the unit is the Khemri version.

Actually there's two units, Norman Knight and NormanKnight. It's "just" that Mr. Do forgot to include one of them. :crazyeye:

Here's a whole bunch of bugs...

*international port.pcx bad palette (this one was in 2.03, so I suppose it's still there).

*I think it's bad for game play that the skaven can go in mountains. And the stats don't go down very well with me, trying to get rid of a bunch of 7 attack Rat Ogres using 5 attack archers is not fun IMO. I want my money back! :mad: ;)

*The Dwarf Warrior is insanely priced! It should cost 10 or up to 15, 20 is too much, it just make the start of the game really frustrating. :mad:
Besides, If it should upgrade it should have the upgrade unit flag flagged. Personally I think that a 3/2/1 unit should upgrade to another offensive unit, not to the defense line.

*Dark Forge pedia has palette problems.

*chaos dwarf LH f4 screen pic has palette problems.

*Settra should use the Ramses icons in the first era.

*You forgot the sentry order for the Rock Lobba. Very annoying.
EDIT: You forgot it for all new bombard units.

*Slave Galley pedia says "you need timber to build a battle barge".

*Gates of Zharr pedia spelling; "friendylucity"

*Orc Infantry upgrades to itself. Black Orc doesn't upgrade for the Chaos Dwarves. Because of this the Chaos Dwarves can't build Orc Infantry. (someone already mentioned this, I know ;) ).

*While playing as the chaos dwarves I conquered the Pyramid of Eternity. Logically, this should give me a granary in every city, as I'm not a Monarchy, but it didn't.
The reason for this was apparently that it doesn't do squat, even for Khemri, i e no granaries for anyone.

*The Ogre doesn't have the upgrade unit flag flagged, even if it upgrades to the Irongut.

Unless this was changed in 2.1, I believe that the Pyramid of Eternity ONLY works for Khemri, even if you happen to capture it. (I think the same goes for the other Khemri-specific pyramid)
 
It works for others in 2.03
Besides, you can just look in the editor, and see that it's currently broken. :)
Only Khemri can build it, yes, but that's a different thing.

Another thing, the Beastmen.
To be blunt, the inclusion of the Beastmen resource is a disaster. A Chaos player without Beastmen don't get any defenders in the whole game! :crazyeye:
I can build Warriors and demons, how jolly. :rolleyes:
This resource must go.
Any resource that's only useful for one civ is a bad idea.
 
How odd, I'm playing as Chaos Dwarfs now and once I had Theocracy I got the option to build the Black Pyramid of Nagash in my capital and I'm quite certain I ain't got the Pyramid of Eternity in the city and that I'm not an Lich ...
 
I just recently found this site and got really excited about this mod. I went as far as dusting off my Civ3 and reinstalling it, then got to downloading... Unfortunately 3DDownloads has been a complete bust for me, since it doesn't support resuming. I've tried IE, FF, Mozilla, all in combination with different file download managers but every time the DL freezes up before it even reaches the halfway point, forcing me to restart I've tried about 9-10 times now. Are there any other tricks to try or is the apparent vaguery of my DSL line just guaranteed to keep me from touring all the cool material on this site?

Disclaimer: I'm sure this has been asked dozens of times throughout the forum but I haven't found any really good answers... I apologize if I missed something obvious in my search through the archives. Unfortunately this whole experience has worn my patience this evening a bit thin. :(
