Warhammer fantasy units/graphics preview/development thread

I think it looks great. My only suggestion would be to add a little rust to the armor and axe - these are chaotic beast men, after all. They probably don't spend much time polishing armor.

I think the civ-colouring in the hood doesn't look bad at all - take a look at the attached pic (it's in 8-bit format, so it has lost a tiny bit of detail, but not much). I also edited the hood a bit, now the face shows more, and the eyeslots of the hood are bigger. I think it looks good (and ready for production) ;) :p

I also added some rust-spots in the armourings and in the axe blade

Its a Rainbow!

Looks great. :) I eagerly await the release.

What've you got in mind for your next project?

Propably Centigor, followed by
- ork kannon
- skeleton knight and
- chaos bloodship (they need a good looking heavy warship)

I'm interested also in these:
- ogres (ironguts, bruisers, leadbelchers, butchers (ogre magicians, who practice 'gut magic'), maneaters)
- Tuskgor chariot
- having a break :)

Ok, you won me over with the civ-color thing. Lookin' good. :)

aaglo, have you thought about doing Skaven too? We've seen some models, but I doubt anything will ever come of them. Loads of people have requested some, besides, I'd like one for my Magnamund Mod. ;)

@Antiochus VII,
All those things you mentioned are strange, but not interesting.

... unlike this :p

Centigor of the beasts'o'chaos.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Notes:
- again you can see some pics of centigors by image-googling the word centigor
- generally centigors are coloured like most of the beasts of chaos - reddish fur. will it be getting boring, if this one becomes reddish too, or should i make this a bit darker (like I did with the bestigor)?

Looking pretty good. I have a few small suggestions, though:

-The color looks fine. However, if you are worried about it getting boring, the Centigors seem to have portions of thicker, darker fur in the images on the GW website. The hair is of a darker color on the stomach, back of the legs, and on a strip running from between the horns, down the spine and through the tail. If you are worried about the color being monotonous, adding that could help.
-The Centigor's horse-body seems situated too low to the ground. The models have longer legs, and the horse-part of the body seems to connect at the stomach-level of human portion, rather than at the hips where you have it situated presently. It makes it look stunted and squat.
-The shield looks a little large, too. But I don't know if you did that for the civ-color or not.

So, yeah, those are my critiques. Hopefully they'll be of some help.

- I noticed the differently coloured fur patches in the back, tail and on the top of the 'paws', but I think I don't have any ideas how to make those with pov-ray in such manner that they would look good (maybe some random strings of cones.... hmmm... I could also do the tail the same way too, it would look better that way I guess). Ok, I'll check on it.
- ok, longer legs I understand. about "horse-part of the body seems to connect at the stomach-levelo of human portion"... - do you mean, that the human portion should be higher? If so, then I think I understood :p
- the shield is larger than the one in the units, but I made it larger, since that fist-size shield is good for nothing :p ... I think I over-sized it a bit though - somewhere in between it could be okay

Ok,
I made some changes.
- I added some 'hair' to the back of the human-body and to the horse-body
- I made a 'hairier' tail
- I added 'hair' to the ankles
- I elongated the legs
- I lifted the human-body in relation to the horse-body
- I elongated the human-body a bit
- I shrunk the shield

What I didn't do:
- I didn't add any 'hair' to the head and neck. Enuf is enuf :p

It's looking good, but I'd prefer it if they had more of hooves (cloven or not) rather than the clawed feet you have there. And if the rump and "thighs" were meatier. That would, I think, make the back part look more like a horse or a goat or whatever animal it is...

I LOVE the new one :D

I'm still amazed at how quickly you churn these out :)
