As far as how to unarchive the file, you need to use Winrar, Winzip or 7-Zip
I sugest 7-zip.....

Please check post #1 for install instructions.

Yeah I've tried to do that with WinZip but it just won't unarchive. I can choose to extract but there is nothing that says about unarchive...Sorry for the noob questions

I musta screwed something up on my end when I was creating the patch, although I'm not entirely sure yet as I tested it before I archived it.
No doubt I will have it fixed when I get home, and release .62 tonight.

Extract is the same thing...as unarchive

Ok folks, I dont get it, I do not have the interface problem.

Things to look for

This mod should be installed in your program files directory not my documents. At least mine is
The folder name should be Composite XL
Assets should be right in Composite XL

So Mods/Composite XL/Assets

If you have Mods/Composite_XL_6/Composite XL/Assets you have done something wrong.

Delete version 5 before installing
Make sure the patch if you downloaded it is installed correctly.

Im going to finish this autoplay game and then re-upload .61 for those having problems delete completly and then re-download.

Maybe there was a problem on the upload, are you using your original files....if there's something we can change on our end, I so wanna play the new version...lol

I still use winrar to open the download, but I've never had any problems with opening 7-zip files before, so I would think that wouldn't be having any effect, thanks for doing the upload again, I'm sure there are other things you'd rather be doing now...but even in beta form, you already have some Composite XL mod addicts......not mentioning any names.......

No I feel bad I remember what it was like to download a mod and it not work and not get an update or here from the programmer for a week... Its why I try to get important updates out quick and keep in contact with the people.

Im just hoping this time it works, as we never figured out what was wrong.

ok, i tried out the new version and it runs better but i suffer some lag during medieval era but i think's that's normal. No errors so far and i have not yet declared war against someone and no more declared war on me.

Well, unfortunatly, whatever issue I am having is still there, I redownloaded, and still don't have the interface, and can't access the pedia from the main menu after loading the mod.....le sigh

Ok did you delete the original download and folder
check the file path it should look something like this...

Lets try this...

Go to your CivilizationIV.ini file located in
My Documents\My Games\Warlords

Open it up and set the following lines on...

; Disable caching of file system (may slow initialization)
DisableFileCaching = 1

; Disable caching of xml and file system (may slow initialization)
DisableCaching = 1

That will insure we are not caching (yes shift should work but hey)

; Enable the logging system
LoggingEnabled = 1

(turn logging on)

; Overwrite old network and message logs
OverwriteLogs = 1

Only the last time you started warlords will the logs show that data

Ok save the file, go in...load the mod, click the pedia...go into game...exit game... Send me the 3 logs

These are located in
My Documents\My Games\Warlords\Logs

PythonDbg.log
PythonErr2.log
PythonErr.log

You can zip them up and post them here, or use filefactory and post me the link...
