[Warlords] Composite XL More of Everything!

"how do you download this mod? The download link brings me to a site where it requires a password and log-on name...."


I had the same issue, have a look half way down the page , before the ads,
it says "download for free" , click on that. You don't have to join and log in.

The first time I tried the link wasn't there , then the next time it was... try again.
 
dude I think the thread is dead Ket hasnt been on here for a couple of months
 
Actually, he last posted on November 6th which is about a month ago. I'd give him a bit more time before proclaiming this thread dead. Other things in life can easilly get in the way of hobby projects.

I really hope you end up finding the time to update Composite XL, Ket. Yours was my favourite Warlords mod and met my very strict standards for quality and consistency. Please give us an updated 2.08 playable version! Who knows if Firaxis will ever update Warlords again, this could be the last time you need to make changes :cry:.

If Ket is unable to, I hope someone with modding experience would be willing to take on the important task of making this mod 2.08 compatible :goodjob:.
 
You do know theirs another expantion being worked on by Firaxis right now??

Theoreticaly when I get the next CCCP update out It can make this mod playable for 2.08 unless their are other changes I dont know about.
 
Ket mist be having alot of real world stuff going on because it has been over a month since his last post . I agree with Stacmon I would really like someone who knows what they're doing to take over this mod because I really miss playing it .:(

Are there any details? I'd love to read about the expansion somewhere :).

what is the cccp project and if someone dropped it in this mod it would make it work awsome . I have been wanting to play this mod but cant since the patch 2.08 came out
ps it would be nice if someone would pick up coding for this mod
 
well, so far i think i found a fix, if you download the http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=3773 patch her for ket's other mod the unaltered gameplay one, and then just replace the CvGameCoreDLL.dll in composite XL with the new one from eusebius' patch then it works just fine so far, no issues

i'm going to see if i can build more into this mod, I'd love to in particular get the new Civ Gold + a few new resources + EDU into this mod so i'll see what i can do i'll post here if i can get anything working on that + additional fixes

as to the new civ gold looks like its going to be worked into the CCCP project and be fully modular >hmmn speaking of which Impaler made a Dll for the Warlords 2.08 CCCP Dll it may just work with this mod as well;o) have to try that to
 
Andrewicus's fix works fine just use the Dll Eusebius wrote for the unaltered gameplay and go ..perfect fit..
 
Thanks to some help from Mexico in breaking though a Core-Dump-on-Loading work on the CCCP has recomenced (he also squashed a few other bugs as well and wants to colaborate in the future :D ). The next version will have uptodate with WL 2.08 (better AI) patch, include the latest Modular loading code (for drag and drop modability) and most of Aussie Lurkers new Civics tags. You should be able to use it as a subsitute DLL just like the others and all the bells and whistle will be functional.

CivGold modual making is currently on hold as I wait for Perplexus to split up all the XML files for me, when its dont it wont become an integral part of CCCP though as is desirgned to be a totaly "latent" mod, aka no changes untill you activate it. The CivGold library will become the center piece of the Modual Library which will be a parrelel and compatable distribution.

P.S. Too bad about Ket, he realy seems to have droped off the face of the internet, I do hope his life is getting back in order and he drops in to put our minds at rest.
 
ahh now the CCCP sounds even better ;o) ill be glad when its rolling good been workign on a couple modules <buggy atm thou will be postign them as i get the critical bugs ironed out>
 
I have tried the fixes reccomended on this thread for getting around problems in getting composite xl mod to run.

1. But no matter what is done, I get the same exact error message that we all see when your computer wants to let microsoft know about any particular error in windows. Thus the mod never manages to start at all. THis is the message:

"Sid meier's Civilization 4 : Warlords has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. "

THe "error signature" is this "AppName: civ4warlords.exe AppVer: 2.0.8.0 ModName: cvgamecoredll.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 003933be"

2. Ive tried multiple installs ov civ and warlords as well, from scratch, as well as multiple downloads of the mod itself as is suggested on the opening page.

3.It may be that the batch file is not working properly, as it does not seem to do much, but since I have no experience with this sort of thing I cannot be a judge. What exactly does it alter?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
