Warlords

Warlord patch should be out pretty soon to address grid crash on huge maps (my favorite for playing TAM) and some Vassal issues. There is a description of all the changes on the home page for all those, like me, who skip it and go straight to the forums.

I started working with Chazcon on TAM Warlords, but since all the work that was done has to be done again, it could take some time. I'll release TAM v2.0 before Warlords, hopefully in January. This should be the last Vanilla version.

Great to hear that this is still being worked on - I really thought it had fallen by the wayside!!

I am guessing from your words that a Warlords version is not for the forseeable future?

Well I should have 2.0 finished by the end of january hopefully... for Warlords, yes it could take some time.

I wanted to thank you guys for making a MAC version of Vanilla TAM and am hoping you will do the same for your Warlords version as well. Also Laurino mentioned he was working on a Vanilla 1.98 TAM with all the graphics updates ect. Is there going to be a MAC version of that as well, at least untill a Warlords version is done?

Thanks again from all of us MAC guys

I recently read (it was in a post by Kael that I think was recent) that you can't compile the SDK on Macs.

You guys needs any beta testers?
I'm availible 24/7 for the next 2 weeks.

Is the addition of the Plot List Enhancement buttons like ones from 12Monkeys something that could be added to TAM. I really like TAM and those buttons. I know, I know - I admit it, I'm a warmonger.

Will the Warlords version be done by July? I'll be playing the Beyond The Sword expansion by then.

Really dissappointed TAM seemed to die an abrupt death. It had so much potential.

What happened? I know Thamis left for greater things, but did he take the source code with him or something?

Oooh, can I be in line to test it? I have a group of friends that likes to MP with the TAM mod. We could run it through the paces quick.

Thamis, I think you might make more progress with this mod if you made the changed source code publically accessible. That way (instead of having someone sitting on it, and no-one else knows what's happening) someone ( ;) ) might have a look at it and help you develop it.

Well, when you get them ...

If they exist, that is. From time to time I check out this forum but have yet to see anyone taking any credit for doing something to the source code. Until someone comes up with some changed source code, I think one has to be sceptical about what's been done.
