After taking a look at stJNES 4 and how he gives brief descriptions of his wars, i decided to do the same. Also factoring into my creating this thread is the fact that i am bored out of my skull right now and need something to do. Here goes, first in the line of many, MANY wars in RTOR 2.
Aztec Tribal Wars c. 3800 BC Stone Age
A small hostile tribe rises up against Aztec expansion and are quickly routed and defeated by the much better trained Aztec army.
1st Persian War c. 3800 BC Stone Age
Persia invades their neighbors of India and at first win astonishing victories but are later defeated by superior Indian forces.
2nd Persian War c. 3700 BC- c. 3500 BC Bronze Age
Shamed in their defeat by the Indians, the Persians launched a full scale attack upon Babylon to regain their honor. The Indians, seeing an oppurtunity to destroy their old Persians rivals, intervene and attack Persia. The Persians, unable to fight on two fronts, quickly collapse and are annexed by the two nations.
Eithiopian Revolution c. 3700 BC- c. 3500 BC Bronze Age
The Eithiopians, having been forces into Egypt as a provies centuries before, led a revolt in c. 3700 BC. Losing several key battles at first, the Eithiopians were on the brink of collapse. The turning of the tide came when the great naval power of Greece joined on their side and began landing at stradtegic location across Egypt. In the face of destruction, the Egyptians were forced to recognize Eithiopian independence.
Viking Wars c. 3400 BC- c. 2700 BC Bronze Age
A series of wars that began with the Vikings demanding tribute from the nation of Germany. Upon Germany's refusal of the Viking demands, the Vikings began raiding the coasts and villages of Germany. The main German army proceeded to capture the Viking colonies on their side of the Baltic Sea. Later, due to a dispute between the Russians and Germans, the Russians joined in and began an invasion. Soon after, the world's first true alliance, the Central Powers, was formed between Ireland, Rome, Germany, and Greece. Soon after, Germany's new allies began sending ships to challenge Viking naval power. In a great battle, the Battle of the Channel, the Russian and Viking fleets were defeated by the Greek navy, which led to Russia withdrawing from the war. Around 3200 BC, the Irish were defeated by England and led to the collapse of the Central Powers. Warring in between the once powers of Rome and Greece led to their withdrawal from the wars. Though warring continued between Germany and the Vikings for a few hundred more years, eventually peace was completely made.
Irish War c. 3200 BC Bronze Age
The English had always felt great distaste for the Irish. In 3189 BC, the English launched a full scale invasion, which brought the Irish army, which at the time was serving against the Vikings, to their knees, ending Irish indpendence for a long time.
Grecian War c. 3000 BC- c.2900 BC Bronze Age
Before the Grecian War, Greece was the greatest of all known nations in Europe and the Mediteranean. Possessing the largest fleet, they dominated trade in the Sea. However, their victory at the Battle of the Channel left their navy weaker than it had ever been. Following the collapse of Ireland and the Central Powers, Rome saw a moment of weakness and struck at Greece itself. Rome had won amazing victories on land but were under seige by the Greek navy. With the joining of the Babylonians and Spainish, the Greek navy was soon defeated. With a combined attack of Romans from the north, Babylonians from Asia Minor, and Spainish at Sparta, Greece fell and became part of the Roman and Babylonian Empires.
More to come whenever i get bored. Btw, this will go with the original history, not the history that was more recently made in an effort to revive RTOR.
