Ways to Speed Up Game

Title explains it all...

It's not like I have a slow computer, but I feel like 5 - 10 seconds in between turns sort of slows me down.

5-10 seconds for the A.I. to go through over 20+ civilizations and working out what they need to do, is a small price to pay for a more involving game.

It also has to calculate the moves for around 5,000 units.

I'm just wondering. Is there a way, or isn't there.

Let's say it could be helpful to people with slower computers.

Well I have a Core i7 and it can take over 30 secs to go through what I outlined above. Longer when some winter months kick in.

Is there a way ? ... No, not really, but this post may help.
