I JUST finished watching Star Trek: Voyager. The Final Episode.

For anyone who hasn't seen it yet and doesn't want to be spoilled....I would suggest not reading further. I'm going to try and leave sufficent spoiller space below.

There, that should do it. Now.....we all knew that Voyager would probably get home. But Adrimal Janeway using Klingon Technology to go back in time???? I NEVER saw that coming.

And what armor!!!! Holy cow...

Can anyone imagine the damage that Admiral Janeway did to the Borg??? Destroyed 1 of the 6 transwarp hubs, killed the queen and disrupted the Borg commuication.

Unfortunatally we probably won't see another future based Star Trek series.....as the new series is based about five years before the Federation was formed......but if there was another one....in the future....I bet there would be no/very weak Borg. We know that the Klingons survived, and probably the Cardassians. But what of the Romulans, etc.... I guess we will never know.

But...this thread is for talking about the final episode.......what do you think???

I thought it was pretty good....and a fitting end to a fine series!!!

I haven't seen it yet, the new episodes won't be here until september. Damn it!

I don't like the ending, now I have to completely rewrite the ' story' of my Star Trek: Kappa Quadrant scenario.

Ehehehe... When I saw the thread title, "Voyager..." I thought you were talking about the Voyager insterstellar probe sent several years ago. Thought you would say it encountered a meteor during its trip or better, a ET civilization

Didn't think at ST at all.

I saw it Corn. It was a good ending to a less than stellar entry in the Star Trek lore. Liked the end trailer: Before Janeway, Picard, Spock and Kirk..Enterprise! A read a short piece on this in the newspaper yesterday, and it will star Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap) as the new captain of the Enterprise, at the birth of the federation. Look for it on Wedsdays at 8, on UPN.

Thanks for the ad.

I saw it too. I think Bacula is a good actor and is going to be a good captian. Most people disagree with me though.

I'm going to like the war between the Romulans and the Humans though. I wonder what ship class the Enterprise will be. It's going to kind of suck.....because the technology will be SO FAR behind the times....but we will get used to it.

I heard that they are starting the new series at the end of August!!! That rules!! Anyway....

An absolutely great ending, and very well done. Kept us guessing right to the end. A very fitting end to a sometimes great show, though lateley it got rather pedestrian. I'm glad they got it back together for the closer.

I'm not sure about Bakula as a starship captain. He could be good. I'll have to wait and see, though I will definitely see (watch the new show, I mean

)

I would have liked to see Bruce Campbell as the Captian.

Romulan Captian: "This is Romulan Command."
Captian Bruce Campbell: "Well hello Mr. Fancy Pants!"
Romulan Captian: "Surrender Human. Our ship is 3 times more powerful than yours. We will destroy you!"
Captian Bruce Campbell: "Come get some."

Ahhhh....I can see it now. "This is my BOOM SHIP!!!"

Hey Corny, unless they go back to the first Romulan war, you shouldn't see Romulans, period. In "Balence of terror", they make it a point that to 'human, Romulan, or ally' ever saw the other, so nobody till James T ever saw the Romulans. I would like to see something about the Andorians, and the pig-faced Tellarites. Maybe the first contact with the Klingons, and lots of Vulcan stuff.

The pilot has to do with first contact with the Klingons (I think) .....but it is based on the Human-Romulan War. Around 2156. 5 years before the Federation was formed.

HELL YEA!!!

that would rock.

PS - the episode last night was the second Voyager I ever saw - the first being the very first in '94. Had I known about this 7of9 character, I may have made more attempts to view it.

You would have probably liked the episode where the Doctor was day dreaming. He was an artist, who was specializing in nude models.

(And he loves 7 of 9, Confessed it in the second last episode.)

Who played 7of9? I didn't watch Voyager, but I've been hearing a lot about her.

I put the spoiller alert and the long lines of dots so people wouldn't see the end unless they wanted to. So it's not my fault.

I hardly ever watch that show.
the only reason I would even watch it is because that 7 of 9 lady (Jeri Ryan) is hot
wink.gif
but really that would be the only reason.
ST the next generation (or if you perfer the past generation
wink.gif
) was much better in my opinion.
