WH Discussion Thread

An argument against calling it 3.0 is that I'd like to base it on 2.0, os the folder would still be WH2. Thus 2.5.
Not the biggest reason in the world, but...

I suggested also the version 3.0, but the fact that the folder is called WH2 really messes that up :). So, 2.5 sounds better

Also, I think this is a good place to tell that:
My to-do -list is getting shorter (see my signature). It currently has two units plus one possible unit (I've added there also the unit mentioned by themanuneed - not because it's necessary, but because of artistic reasons :) ). So if you feel like something is really missing (umm.. like... umm... cold-one chariot :scared: ), you are welcome to hand out suggestions. But I'm not going to do anything silly :) (you can think of that chaos dwarf tenderiser as a boundary).

Hey aaglo, you reckon you could do a Cold One Chariot? :D

others:
-nightgoblin squig rider
-tomb scorpion
-manticore
-grail knight
-snotling pump wagon
-doomdiver
-harpy
-carrion (undead giant vulture :))
-more Greater Daemons
-more ogres
-perhaps new King units for races like the Orcs and Goblins
-ummm...

is that enough to keep you going :D;)

Hey, I said no silly ones!
The ones that are already on my list:
- dwarf quarreler (when I asked mrtn, this was the first that he mentioned, so I suppose I can't ignore that :) )
- bone chucker (useful for three undead civs as a replacement for fire catapult)
- hellblaster volley (I might postpone this for the sake of the following list).

There are a couple of things that comes to my mind (after seeing LMR!'s list of suggestions) that could be useful:
- harpies (that's a good catch there - for dark elves don't (?) have cheapish flyers)
- furies (for chaos hordes & beasts of chaos)
- carrion (tomb kings don't have any flying units - or do they have that zombie dragon? )
- doom diver (because of the fun factor alone this would be great :) - for both greenskins)
- that frikking cold-one chariot (it buggers me that dark elves don't have that ultra-cool looking unit).

Why some of those I just discard for now :) :
- squig rider, tomb scorpion, grail knight, snotling pump wagon, more ogres: there's actually not much room for this fella for the mod.
- greater daemons: they're really a pain in the butt to make. No thanks :) (altough you are free to make colour edit to the vermin lord to make a lord of tzeench or whatever - IIRC it looks something like that when glanced quickly).
- manticore (who would use that? I think it's just a bit of unnecessary fluff)

- doom diver (because of the fun factor alone this would be great :) )
 i almost didn't add the doomdiver to the list, coz you said the tenderiser was as far as you would go. i although it would be a fun unit :D

i could really use a squig rider :mischief:

- greater daemons: they're really a pain in the butt to make. No thanks :) (altough you are free to make colour edit to the vermin lord to make a lord of tzeench or whatever - IIRC it looks something like that when glanced quickly).

maybe i will, aaglo, maybe i will... :hmm:

- manticore (who would use that? I think it's just a bit of unnecessary fluff)
the Dark Elves, but i do agree that it would be padding

About the chaos greater daemons.
I was wondering if this is possible:

1. Make the greater daemons being spawned from four different Daemon temples (say, every 20 turns). These temples should be very expensive (say, 300 shields).

2. Check the "replace buildings with this flag" on all of the daemon temples (that should make certain, that only one type of daemon temple existed in a city).

3. Make the temples cause culture (so that they are destroyed if a city is captured).

This issue has only one flaw though: there aren't enought of those greater daemons.

Correction to my previous message: The Vermin Lord doesn't look like the lord of change, it looks more like the Keeper of Secrets ;)

not really. i've set mine up so i've got four temples for the four gods, each as an improvement with the 'replace' flag flagged, and all requiring the chaos gate. each temple produces the greater daemon associated with each god: bloodthirster=khorne, great unclean one=nurgle, lord of change=tzeentch, keeper of secrets=slaanesh.

only problem with this is how to make each daemon advantageous in some way..

:p

for that to work, someone will have to make more greater daemons... :mischief:

No! That was My Idea! :p ;)

About their advantageousnesses: two units could be fast with "average" attack/defence (close to smaller dragons), and two could be slower with ridiculous attack/defence (close to greater dragons).

The current great daemon (Balrog) looks like bloodthirster, I made the ugly uncle-anone ( ;) ), and the keeper can be made form vermin lord (or can it). Then there's the lord of change. There's nothing like that done (I think).

My head hurts of just thinking about modelling that LoC... there's no way I'm going to put that on my to-do list

It's a game, where posters like you are in the orcs&goblins armybook, and they have a vomit attack.

If you really don't care to read the answer to the question you've asked before, then you are just a troll.

Yeah.. sorry, I just got a bit frustrated. If you really want to know what warhammer is, you can see for yourself here:

The Skull Chucker looks excellent aaglo.
I really love the detail on it.
