WH Discussion Thread

Does the WH-mod need a couple of paladin-type units? They would be foot units with melee attacks and some sort of magical/holy secondary attack. I would need them for MoM II and if there was a need for them in WH-mod, I would have easier time convincing someone to make them.

I looked through the WH miniature range at Games Workshop site and the only decent fit I found was the Empire Warrior Priest. Is it in the mod and if yes, with what graphics? If not, would it be useful?

Its not in the mod I think its use would only be to add to the coolnes of the Empire And thats a good enough reason for me

One of their cities took a chunk of my territory and I was not entirely happy with that. So the great purge commenced, and it struck great fear (and sharp pointy things) in them. None survived. In fact the only surviving former-chaos-people are the ones from one of their cities that ran to my side. Sounds like they had an internal inquistion between themselves

I've added a couple of more units just now, but it's slow going...

How about the new trolls, should I give the blue one to O&G and the green to Chaos, or the other way around?

I'd go with blue for the greenskins. Goes well with their traditional blue stone trolls.

On the other hand, a green troll would look nice with the greenskins, and the chaos troll is also blue.

Actually I would rather have blue with the greenskins to make it stand out, give them a bit of variation.....

I'd give the Blue Troll to the Greenskins, also. The only troll art I've seen is for the greenskins, and is blue, so I'd definatley suggest it going that way around!

Yay he's back!!!!!! I missed you, the unit graphics forum has never been so slow . And you must have some view on the matter? i think its so important if we cant agree we should produce a "different troll colour" patch ....

this will hopefully be the last unit added to the wh-mod. Requested by mrtn.

Presenting: Fenbeast of Albion.
Issues with this are:
- size (are the 8 surrounding images a bit too small?)
- stats
- tech requirement (we discussed with mrtn something about conjuration...)

Here's the preview.

Size could be a bit smaller than an ogre, but bigger than a man.
Stats: possibly use the smaller daemon stats. Assuming it comes at Conjuration. No upkeep sounds good, as it's an animated swamp, basically.

I had to google what fenbeasts are as I couldn't figure it out from the graphics (not aaglo's fault, the unit is just like the model). They are apparently "as tough as trolls" so I whipped up a quick size comparison pic. I know it's not about the size of the dog, but the size of the fight in the dog, but maybe it could be a tad bigger.

Edit: mrtn was quicker than me and probably knows his stuff. OK, slightly bigger than a man then... (And this time I have no personal interest involved. This would fit the nature mages really well, but I've got 'em all set up.)
