AFAIK, there is no plans for a team in Connecticut ever since the Whalers had to move to N. Carolina.

actually now it is the Hartford Wolfpack, the whalers moved to new jersey a long time ago.

The Hartford Wolfpack are the AHL team and the Whalers did not move to New Jersey (The Devils have been their originally). The Hartford Failures...ahem Whalers moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to gather more money because their was lack of interest.

The Devils used to be the Colorado Rockies but the team moved to New Jersey in 1981 or 1982, I'm not sure. The Rockies aren't the first baseball team that's using an old hockey team name. The Pittsburgh Pirates were a hockey team in the 1920's.
