What are the advanteges of each civ?

Like any other color, there are 3 civs which are purple: Mongols, Indians, and Sioux.
The colors are important for 2 reasons. There is never more than one civ of any color in the game, and key civs (this one takes too long to explain so just look it up).

I'll tell you even more: Sioux, Mongols and the Indians. Guys one answer is enough, ok?

Lol ok so what are the other colors?
Should I play as only the white people like I think Greeks are?
Because I am finding it really hard to finish a game of CIV 2 which is the best game ever?

There are seven colors in CivII: White, Green, Blue, Yellow, Cyan, Orange, and Purple. If you are using the default config files (you have not modified the civ list in RULES.TXT) each color has three pre-assigned civs. Each round of play proceeds in the order of the colors as I listed them. Also, they KeyCivs are related to the Power Levels (from Pathetic to Supreme) in the same order.

Play any of the civs you like; what you chose has little bearing on what you can do beyond the setup order and the long-term potential value of being your own KeyCiv. Oh, and the Greeks are Orange in the default setup. Or are you referring to racial characteristics?

I don't know about anyone else but the AI seems to do better with the mongols than anyone else. Genghis Khan is Aggressive, Militaristic, Expansive, which seems to equate to mass war with everyone. Usually they win and usually when I play against them they always get a ridicoulsly large (Europe, Afirca, Asia and Australia often) empire because they destroy all other competeing civs. Try warring against them when all you have is central and south america.

Yeah, I've abandoned a game early once when I found out the Mongols were around. In Civ 1, they razed my Russian capital in Moscow before I had a chance to do much.
