what are the units saying when you click them?

Yeah, the dutch voices have this real "Soldaat van Oranje" feel to the way they pronounce the words. Just too overdone :)

Sounds like computer-(or simply literal)translated bits and pieces to me. It's Dutch, but not in a way a Dutchman would say it. (It's all slightly off-key or something.)

It sounds like a possibly modern Low German dialect. It's definitely not Old High German.

It does sound a bit like a Dutch dialect, not too hard to follow.

The Latin definitely means about the same as the English quotes. So does the French, although it, too, sounds a little forced and stereotypical. I'm American and I think I could speak more realistic French.

Oh BTW, the Byzantines are definitely speaking Greek, but probably not modern Greek, more likely it's Koine (the language the New Testament was originally written down in).

Many Dutch people speak Low German dialects, not only Germans. To me it sounds more like German than Dutch, but I can't say if it's a dialect spoken in the Eastern parts of the Netherlands or in the far Northwest of Germany or one of the old Hanse towns along the river Rhine...
