What Are You Listening To (Classical Version)?

Yes, those Sibelius works is pure gold. Much appreciated.
I am in an Elgar phase right now, and I think I finally am starting to get his symphonies, so here is No. 2

More Schubert, his piano trio No. 2. The beautiful 2nd movement should be well known to everybody who has seen Kubrick's Barry Lyndon. And I pity those who haven't.

Since I seem to have completely neglected the ladies, which is usually not my habit at all, here is Alice Mary Smith's 1st symphony (Pay no attention to what is written on the video, it is really her 1st and not the 2nd):

Ah, that was quite a hiatus. Back to posting.

Hermann D. Koppel's fascinating Symphony no. 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3WgAnqEJDg

On the subject of ladies, I will be posting some of the works of Louise Farrenc later this week or day.

Oops, wrong thread.

Well... I just discovered a piece that might just rival Mahler's 9th as being my favourite piece of classical music.

But first: Louise Farrenc's excellent Symphony no. 3, as promised.

And now the piece which I have had on repeat for the last 3 days in a row, pretty much all my waking hours (unless I am in class.)

I'm not even exaggerating.

Aaah, I see, a crosspost on my part. I do apologize, I must have missed that. I found Nielsen's symphony on my own.

To cover up my embarrassment, Peder Gram's interesting 2nd symphony.

No reason to apologize or be embarassed, I just found it amusing since my reaction was similar when I discovered that symphony. It is really an impressive composition.
Here is Ethel Smythe's Concerto for violin, Horn and Orchestra:

Back to the boys for a while...
After a quick search I couldn't find that this lovely work which most of you surely know has been posted in this thread, so here is one of the great unfinished symphonies:

Günter Wand is quite good for the Schubert 8 (or 6 or 7 depending on what numeration you use) but I think the best performance belongs to H. von Karajan.

In the meantime, a favourite of mine: the vunderbar (I know that's not technically correct) 2nd symphony of Gustav Mahler.
