What Are You Listening To (Classical Version)?

WHAT. I missed one of Goldie's Recommended series?! Unacceptable! Thank you for bringing this to my attention, sir!

In the meantime, Elgar's Piano Quintet, a fine piece worthy of more attention than it receives.

@Kullervo: You are most welcome. I will probably post some more Weingartner later. I agree on the Elgar quintet.
@thetrooper: Very nice to see you again. Been a while. Why not post a video of the Grieg piece?
Here is Reinecke's Undine Sonata, very expressive:

I have Bolivarian Youth Orchestra 2005 concert at Beethovenshall, Bonn, FRG dvd playing on my iMac right now. Very nice. Dudamel conductin.

Dudamel is a great talent,a very inspiring person for his country, and some of his interpretations are interesting, if perhaps a bit too subjective. I liked his Beethoven and also listened with interest on his Bruckner's 9th with Gothenburg SO. I had in mind posting that, but didn't find it on Youtube and I am too lazy to upload it myself.
Having a particulary uninspired day, I'll just post a favourite of mine from my salad days, Schumann's 3rd symphony:

I got the Dark Knight on vinyl playing - I know, not classical, but it,s Vinyl. My dad would love it, I'll email him next!

Update: am now listening to Tom Tykwer, et al's "Cloud Atlas" film Score. Again, not classical, but very stirring.

Thanks old chap!

Do you mean linking to some random thing at youtube? I do notice the youtube-tags available here now... Yeah, obviously I've been away for a while. I'll see if I can do that next time. Anyway, listening to:

Mozart - Rondo Alla Turca

Oh dear, that sounds ominous. Hope that you are OK.
Schumann's Kreisleriana. There are plenty of other good version of it, but this is the one I did listen to today:

Sibelius' symphony no. 7. Possibly my favourite symphony, and one which I have obsessively studied since I first heard it, so I probably have a potentially professional knowledge of it.
