Yeah. I've been pretty uninterested in the civ up until now. I never use it and neither do any of the people I game with.Elohim don't Crusade, thats the Bannor. The Elohim are pacifists (but very good at fighting defending within their territory, demons, bringing down the AC, sactifying hell terrain in rival territory, and forcing all wars in Erebus to end)
I played them for the first time in single player mode last night and a rush through the alters produced some effects that I found worthwhile: Lots of production from the city used to spam priests, extra happiness for all the cities in the empire, free bless promotion for units, and well-trained disciple units right out of the mold.
If a person plays as Einion Logos, it seems like he should be able to get through the alters--except the final one, of course--surprisingly quickly provided an economy has been built that can keep pace with the GP (alter) generation and other tech needs.
Finally, I really like the hero Corlindale a lot. He jumps up to arch-mage status pretty quick, which is, by far, my favorite type of unit. But I'm not sure about something. Is Corlindale exclusive to the Elohim?
PS-It was cool to have my melee units withdraw from time to time!
