What can be done to help the paratroopers?

In the very least, the Enemy has to take out the Paratroopers, which means they have to use military units to take out the Paratroopers.

Bravo Goober!!! :)

The mountain road tactic is a great idea.

It is funny to watch the AI panic when paratroops drop behind their lines. It causes a distraction and sometimes takes pressure off my front line guys.

if the enemy drops paratroopers on a mountain:

drop a bunch of bombs using bombers, or shell them :rocket:

ignore them if they are not in a good position

place mech infantry around the square, and they are stuck there, unless if they want to comit suicide :suicide:

one word fixes the problem:
"INVISIBILITY"

but the ai always has boder patrols, and interior patrols. once in PTW i made an assassin unit, and it didn't get far before being intercepted by a border patrol unit. then it died under an assult of units. (it had hidden nationality)

use the helicopters instead... if the AI has a city with a mountain nearby... drop 2 marines and an infantry on it... or 4-2 if u have 2 choppers....
I agree that the paratroopers are too weak, i think they made them like that because jumping out of a plane u really cant carry that much weaponry... but i think they overdid it... a couple of guys whit submachineguns should have a higher attack-value then the double amount of guys carrying maces, swords and pikes. (MI's)

I think majk-iii has a point, why not use better units that can substitute the weaker paratroopers??
