What Civ and what real-life scenario will you create??

My first civ will prob. be the Arabs or the Poles.

As for my first scenario, something that starts just before WW2 on the Europe map with Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Soviet Union, England, Finland, Greece, Turkey, Benelux, Scandinavia, U.S., Canada, and Yugoslavia as civs. You could try as Germany to take over Europe, but it would be loads of fun to play as, say, Yugoslavia and take over Europe :D

I like true based scenarios

I'll try to make a COLD WAR scenario

Maybe i'll even make a scenario with the Jewish/Palestinian question. Maybe Civ3 will give us the answer regarding this difficult problem

I want to create the Viking civ. I can just copy the names of the units, cities, etc. from Civ2. :D

If I can make it work, I'd like to create a libertarian governement type - no taxation, peace (no alliances) with all other civs, free trade, no offensive army, armed populace, free immigration, production and research bonuses. Cultural assimilation is only method of growth.

Although it wouldn't leave the player much to do!

I'll first create the Vikings and let them conquer Europe from North to South. Vest to East. The way it should have been!! ;)

Let The Vikings prevail :viking:

I'm pretty sure it's 'yearned' to destroy the Sun' ;)

Anyways, one scenario I'd LOVE to see would be the 'Three Kingdom's period' in China. I've always been interested in fuedal china and think it would make a pretty cool civ scenario if a mod creator did it right.

Somewhere in the 11th century. in Finland (WHAT-A-SURPRISE!;)).
Novogrod vs. Sweden. Aw, gotta check the backrounds more carefully...

Apart from the other real-life scenarios I mentioned, I would like to create a post nuclear-holocaust world with a changed global map. E.g. flooded low-lying areas, pollution and global warming (more deserts).

Scenario A

Human civilisation must start again after a nuclear war. Grow, develop and conquer non-polluted areas.

or

Scenario B

A 'Terminator' sort of world with SkyNet as one evil civilisation (cities based in all the continents but the SkyNet city based in the USA) and the other 6 civs as humans (North Americans, South Americans, Asians, Europeans, Africans and Australiasians) and in the different continents. How I would create SkyNet units, I dont know?

Ahh, the vast amount of possibilities...My first custom civs will be the Celts (I'm partially of Welsh heritage) and the Slavs (partially of Serbian heritage). And of course the Germans and French are already taken, them being my other cultural background. The Celts special units could be the Woad Warrior perhaps (but that was their unit in AoE2...), or something else. Not sure about the Slavs though..

But scenarios! My first scenario will be a hypothetical one. It is 2010, and Scotland and Wales have teamed up for a battle of British successin. They are aided by the Irish and Icelandic, both monetarily and manpower wise (the Icelanders have some scores to settle with the UK after the UK annexed the majority of Icelandic fishing seas in 2005). Can you, a leader of either the Welsh, Irish, or Scottish succession parties liberate your homeland? :king:

But what I really want to do is a WWI scenario that covers everything from the US mainland to Japan. The forces: US, Mexico (imagine if the Mexicans got and accepted the Zimmerman telegraph..), Germany, the UK, Russia, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, Japan, and probably a few more. From the forests of Tannengburg to Texas, glorious and tragic WWI...

Very few things were possible with the snidey editor provided with the game. But because we have been promised a decent editor in June, I have resurrected this thread from the depths.

One idea that I fancy is a modern/future scenario with loads of cutting-edge military units and future techs.
The civs would be something along the line of:

1. USA- dedicated capitalism and plutocracy

2. Russia (plus the rest of the old Soviet Union)- revitalized, dedicated to spreading a new form of communism

3. E.U. (Germany, France, Spain, Greece, Sweden Poland, etc)- unified into one nation by some German in the near future, dedicated to spreading liberalism

4. Islamic Federation (Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, etc)- dedicated to spreading Islam

5. India - dedicated to becoming a world power

6. China - wants to control all east-asian and become a truly ecumenical state

7. African National Congress (S.Africa?, Congo, Cameroon, Nigeria, etc)- only a unified state, dedicated to kleptocracy. The ruler of this state wants all the personal benefits he can get

8. Latin American Union (Mexico, Costa Rica, Argentina, Brazil, etc)- dedicated to liberalizing international drug market for wealth and control

9. Commonwealth (England, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc) - similar to Americans

9 civs, not too much, and covers about everything. History scenarios are fine, but we know that everything has already happened. With this, the gaming experience will be kind of sci-fi, but not out-of-this-world sci-fi. Aims could be the same as ordinary game.

You could merge USA with Commonwealth and get some English speaking Union centred in America.

I also fancy making post-Alexander the Great scenario where the diadochi battle it out for supremacy.
A Peloponnesian War scenario also would be fun, as would a unification of Germany scenario, ww1 and ww2 scenarios and a Cold War scenario.

I'm too lazy to make one myself, but I can't wait to download a good WWI, WWII, or Cold War (it won't be so cold after I get through with it:D) scenario...

I have a strong hunch, that Civ3 will be shipped with a WWII scenario... :p

No, it won't be in the xp. Firaxis know that some people here can do much better scenarios. So they will give us the tools to do it.

I would like to do a Falkland Islands scenario if I have the time.

Korean War would be cool too like the classic WW2.

What do you mean, real-life scenario? If you're going to play "what if", you might as well go all out, and if you're not, you should be reading a history book instead of playing Civ.

I'm not hugely into scenario designing, but one scenario I'd really really like to make would be a Victorian-era alien contact scenario, in which an alien civ with very advanced technology crash-lands with a couple inconsequential units on a fairly well-developed industrial world.

I hope someone puts together a Second Punic War scenario featuring Hannibal.

In Civ 2 there was an Alexander scenario, but the problem with that was the AI - if you played as the Persians the Greeks never attacked you!
