What console should I get?

I bought a 360 Elite mainly as get-together entertainment when friends drop by, but I've found myself playing it solo as well. It's great being able to play Assassin's Creed without having to wait for the PC version to come out.

It really depends on what games you want to play. GH3 is probably best on the 360, just because of all the downloadable content, but you can get the basic game on all the other consoles. Halo 3 is only for the 360, but there are other FPS for the others. Madden 08 with the Wii mote is awesome beyond words, it's a completely different game than the PS3 version I played at a store. The PS3 is finally getting some good titles, but it'll still be awhile before they catch up to the 360. I'm still happy with my PS2, I sometimes play Wii at a friends house. 360 and PS3 aren't worth the money to me yet. For a limited budget, get a new PS2 for $130, and a bunch of the Greatest Hits games for $20 each.

Nah GH3 is best on Xbox360 or PS3, you have access to download content! Lots of cool songs not available on Ps2 or Wii

thats only like 2 songs right? An there is confirmation the Wii version will be getting the dl content in 08..

I have both an Wii and a Xbox 360. I play the 360 more, but only because of Rockband (awesome game BTW!) But the Wii is just such an awesome system for the price. And girls (and family) enjoy playing it. It's a system made for everyone to enjoy. And madden on the Wii is REALLY awesome! Just by your self playing, space isn't a issue. Must games you play sitting down. But if you have 4 people playing tennis (arms flying all around), then yes, your going to need a lot of space

But it sounds like just for you, Xbox would be better. You can buy them used at game stop for as cheap as $199, but you should get the 20GB HD, whats another $60 so figure $260. Also the red ring of death (RROD) is no longer an issue with the newer ones. And MS has extended all warranties for the Xbox 3 years.

PS3 wise, unless your GOING to buy a Blu-ray player (and have a HD TV)Do not buy a PS3. The graphics are not better on for the PS3 vs 360. Call of Duty 4: PS3 vs. Xbox 360 Comparison. Did this same test at my friends house with his PS3. My xbox look the same vs his PS3. maybe on a 40' 1080i you can see a differences. but none of my friends own a HDTV. The PS3 cost to much, few titles (most of which are also on the xbox), and same graphics. unless your getting it for a blu-ray. it's just a waste.

Wii vs an 360. well both are great systems.

The graphics only look different if they are designed to be different. Most developers don't use the PS3 to even close to it's full potential, because people are happy with 360 and Wii like graphics.
