What did you do when banned?

I was banned for 10 minutes because PH was being a "really cool guy" and thought he'd test out his banning. Unfortunately, TF logged off and couldn't unban me until he logged on 10 min later. I defy anone else to say they have been banned for no reason. I really was!

So what if it was a joke ;)

i dont really understand the banning thing if a mod bans you does TF have to unban you or cant the mod

Only the admin can release a banned account, so that means only Thunderfall.

So does this mean that, if TF, let's say, goes on a vacation and is offline for a while, no bannings will be taking place during that vacation period since nobody will be available to unban people? :crazyeye:

Well if TF went on a long vacation I'm sure he would give someone he trusted the admin rights on a tempory basis so that the forum could continue to function. If its just for two weeks then Mods could either ban users for the two weeks, not ban anyone or tell them to stop posting for a particular amount of time and if they didn't then they could give them a proper banning until TF came back.

Wow, the possibilities would be endless if TF went on a vacation... :crazyeye: I got a pm from Lefty or the Opressor Extraordinnaire Palehorse once, don't remember which. Spam warning, well, I and another CFCer went back and forth for a few posts like a conversation of sorts just between the two of us, but in a thread. I guess I could be warned and banned on spam as I do often post things that could be considered spammy... :)

Bannings can continue to occur, but no one will be rehabilitated until the admin shows up. Moderators have access to the log on restriction fuction, but only the admin can edit the poster status screen and restore him. On the status screen some of the possible statuses are "registered",(the normal status) "unresgistered" (was resgistered under a prior version or type of forum, but has not posted in the current VBB), "banned by moderator", Banned by Admin", "perm banned". For some reason as "super mod" I have see theses admin screens, but I can not enter any changes. The "banned by moderator" can also be entered on a different page of the moderator's control panel that all moderators can access.
