What do you think should be on CIV4 (improvements from CIV3)?

What would you like to see implemented in the game? (note: this was a merged thread)

I agree with lucidity. Alot of the "Civilisations" mentioned are already either covered by existing ones, or donr really deserve to be in the game.
I think the Dutch, Inca and the Mayans should be added. I dont know enough about any African counties to make an opinion on them though...

Edit: And the Portuguese

The Dutch, definitely ! Portuguese are also a good choice. Other than that, the Maya, Inca's, Khmer, Ethiopians (gotta have the Rastafari in there ! Bob Marley as a GL :D ) and Songhai from Western Africa. Possibly also another Slav civ and a Magyar one.
Finally, although it's of course a continuation of the Roman Empire, Byzantium.

NEANDERTHALS

BTW- Ausralians shouldn't be in there, Since they were just a colony of Britian (so is America, but we are the most powerful nation in the world.) and aren't a world power and never were. I'm not bashing Australians, but i think Aborigineas should be there instead.

Firaxis is busy working towards fixing the current expansion with some patches...Then we'll probably see another expansion before civ4 comes out. Not based on any information just my feeling.

werdhertz: However long the Mongol period of dominance, they are and were a civilization.

Whereas the Aborigines were not "civilized" in the traditional sense in that they never settled in cities, and the Neanderthals aren't even humans - at this point it just starts getting silly.

I've got no major problem with an Australian, Brazillain or Canadian civ, but I think that it would be stupid, and I would disable them in my games. That's because I'm a bit of a purist, and feel that they are to a large extent still part of the European civ. The American case is interesting in that they come from so many places and have become a superpower, so I would say their inclusion is warranted - even if I leave them out of my games.

Not quite sure how the Arthurian Heroes or the Vampires constituted a civ, but feel free to explain. Unless you were joking?

I'm still trying to figure out how the heck the Celts made it...

The Celts through much of recorded history have been throughout northern and western mainland Europe. Julius Ceaser even wrote about them (when he was an army general) being in what is now France. The Romans eventually pushed them 'into a corner' in the British Isles.

canada? its like austrailia. its 1 country, never had a empire, ws just a british colony, and who are goin to be the canadian great leaders???? :D
i would say incas, portugeuse and the vampires :goodjob: should be included.
someone mentioned mexicans. they are your modern aztecs spliced with many other cultures.
many of these you name never had an empire, or were part of one. to be included i think they should have had to of had a major influence on the known world at the time, not just now, or had an empire / colonies.
