What game has the highest Annoyance factor?

Guess so. Maybe that's why I like games like Diablo2 too. No matter how powerful, always subject to the possibility of death as you proceed into the highest lvls. :) Always at risk.

Another thing: Lack of quality 2-D games. Everything is more and more 3-D. It is not needed!!!

That is quite profound, as it seems publishers are only interested in funding 3D projects. I wish they'd realize that too.

I know a lot about 3D (esp. OpenGL), but as a player, I can say that many many games are far better served by 2D graphics, and faster more stable gameplay. Every game does not need 1.7 million verticies computed each second, LOL.

:goodjob:

the only benefit I can see with 3-D over 2-D is that you can offload most of the graphical work on the GPU and free the CPU for more AI power...while in 2-D the CPU has to do it all...right?

Gonna go way different here and go with The Longest Journey. I am a fan of adventure games and this one was so highly rated & recommended. Graphics and story are great. However, all I've found it to be is a constant search to find another crazy old guy who gives his whole life history before telling you what you need to know to find the next crazy old guy.

Well the game that realy anoy me while playing is Starreach by Interplay than German inport release by then. I brought for 1.99 dollar one month as release date that how bad it was. It was than Real time game which you have no change at
winning.

The DOOM series.....I die and start the level over totting that little pistol again. Arch Viles killed you in one shot, monsters EVERYWHERE with little ammunition.

Civ I (at times) I lose my fortified vetran mech infs. to an attacking knight and then they take automobile...s**t!

Close Combat....sometimes your men could just sit there and win. Other times you could do everything in your power only to have your men wuss out and run away.

Empire Earth...campaign too jumbled and difficult, game too overwhelming.

Sudden Strike...a perfect example of having a finite number of troops defeat a well-entrenched enemy.

For me its Pool of Radiance.

What you are thinking as the game progresses:
"Cool, a zombie is coming at me, lets kill it"
"Wow, another zombie, this game is great"
"Huh, I must be in a zombie lair, there's"
"Two more zombies now?"
"Come on, another zombie!"
"This sucks, a zombie, are there any other monsters?"
"Time to uninstall the game"

That sums it up, and thats what I did. Never finished the game.

That would be Star Trek: Away Team. Too tedious.
