What happened to the d/l collection?

It seems to have been replaced with links to the various completed files forum. What gives?

I was going to post this:

Some of you probabaly noticed that the links to the Civilization III Downloads Collection have been removed from our Civ3 Downloads section. The main reason is that it's not very feasible to maintain a separate Civ3 downloads database due to the huge number of Civ3 downloads and the fact that many files get updated pretty often and new ones are coming out on a daily basis. Downloading files from the files forums will ensure the files downloaded are the latest version available.

Abandoning the separate Civ3 downloads colection will also give newly released files more publicity, since all visitors will need to go to the files forums to download the files. Many scenarios added to the downloads collection a few months ago have over 2000 downloads, while lots of the scenarios in the scenarios forum only have a few hundred, even if they are better. This is not very fair to newly released files.

We will only use the files forums for Civ3 downloads from now on.
