Hello,

I launched my spaceship about ten turns ago and it should have arrived a couple of turns ago. The problem is that I can see that the spaceship has "arrived", but I havent won the game yet, what has happened?

Im playing the earth map as Emperor if that is any help.

Civilization 1 DOS Manual said:
Automatic Ending:
A game of Civilization ends when a spaceship containing colonists from any civilization reaches the nearby Alpha Centauri star system.
All play temporarily ceases.
Your final civilization score is reported
and you are entered into the Hall of Fame if you qualify.

However,
you do not necessarily have to quit playing.
... ...

Space Colonists Bonus:
... ... if your spaceship is the first to reach Alpha Centauri
you can receive a bonus score.

This is 50 points per 10,000 colonists sent,
multiplied by the success rate of your mission.

For example,
if your spaceship arrives with 10,000 colonists
and the success percentage of your expedition was 80%,
then you receive 40 bonus points.

it's kind of a game bug -

the hint was here:

in CiV.1 DOS

before 1 Anno Domini ( "AD")

you have to fly OVER 20 years (better 20,1 or so)

because the time of TURNS is 20 years

if your Space Ship is faster 20 years
it's "already landed" next turn (THE BUG)
and you don't win the game by Space Ship race.

solution:
build an additional component (habitation, solar panel, support)
or
some more structurals 'til the flight time is 20,1 years...

hint:
don't build too much
Propulsion Component(s)
before 1 AD

ONE is (before 1 Anno Domini) more than enough. :D
