ok, so it "The Holidays" that time of year roughly between thanksgivng and newyears day. but how many holidays are there? I know there is Thanksgiveing, Christmas, Hanakuh, Kwanza, Pear Harbor Day, Boxing Day, and NewYears, but are there any others? I'm sure there have to be more holidays and religious celebrations out there. Tell me what ones you know, no matter how bizzare or obscure, just so long as some one celebrates them.

You silly Americans should be celebrating Lucia. It's a light-feast on Dec 13, celebrated by putting blondes in white dresses with candles in their hair, and by boozing.
Please tell me more about it: Can you buy special holiday offers containing candles, booze and blondes? :mischief:
Is the white dress really necessary?? ;)

You forget Festivus.

The basics are in the Wiki article about St Lucy. Scroll down to the section "In Scandinavia".

The United States Marine Corps birthday on November 10th.

Veteran's Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, on November 11th.

too early VRWCAgent.

How could I forget festivus and Winter Solstice, and Festivus. Just be glad an American knew about Boxing day.

Htis Lucia holiday intrieges me, do go on.

Your all forgetting the public holiday to celebrate the proclamation of the socialistic constitution on december 27th every year in that liberal, freedom loving country of noth korea!

There's one episode of the Simpsons where Krusty the Clown has a holiday special and mentions all of the December holidays.

I think Tet occurs during December.

he also mentioned ramadan, which is too early for the time window layed out in the first post.

and who could forget winter-een-mas?

Ctrl+Alt+Del also features a post-New Year's holiday dubbed Winter-een-mas [4] [5]. Absath has detailed the holiday: the season lasts all of January, much like the Christmas season, but the actual holiday itself is January 25 to January 31. It was created as a holiday for all things concerning gamers or gaming. Little is told about its traditions, however there are several spirits which represent the different genres of gaming (such as fighting or real-time strategy) who fly around the world on Winter-een-mas Eve in a giant ethereal gamepad [6]. Every year at Winter-een-mas, Ethan dons a crown and proclaims himself king.

Ramadan is based on the Islamic lunar calander. At the time of the show it was actually in Christmas/holiday arc.
