what is the biggest map that can be played with GS without issue?

the YAMP giant 180x94 map crashes at the end, and i was hoping something bigger than the 120x80 one.. is there somewhere in the middle of the 2 that I can play without crashes?

Even enormous Map Size (128x80) causes the Game to crash for some Players.

If you can do/play without the Disasters Random Events, then you can play the Game on bigger Maps without any Issues, if you disable that systeme (I've tested it on 144x90 without any Issues, can't vouch for anything larger though). You can use my Mod "Customizatio VI" in my Signature to disable the Disaster Event Systeme (and customize a bunch of other things).

by disasters you mean like volcanos and floods right? or does the whole global warming ice melt and water rising mechanic as well?

Yes, All Random Events, including Floods, Sea Level rising (Global Warming), Volcano irruptions (Volcanoes will still get generated tho), Blizzards...etc.

you may also want to use the mod to prevent the "reveal all map" on satellite discovery.

that crashes games in too big of a map? does it help if most of the map is already revealed? or does the amount of "reveal" not matter?
