What is the GOTM About?

Can someone tell me what GOTM is? How it's played? What it stands for? Its looks interesting...

The general idea is that everyone plays from a common start so you can see how different strategies play out and hopefully learn from how others deal with the same situation. And there's a mild competetive aspect to it as well.

Ok, so what do I know? I can barely make it into the AD years before the next one comes out!

Methinks thou dost play a wee bit too well.

On the other hand, in some games a player of your quality only needs to get a few AD years in order to do well.

Don't forget to save your game at AD1 and AD1000 (unless you win before then) as well as the turn before you win. Reloading of huts or combats is forbidden, and check Starlifter's Tips & Cheats thread on special cases (like the Food Caravan Trick). Playing using the Classic/2.42 version is a bit easier as the AI is less fanatical than using the Multiplayer Gold Edition. Once you have reached AD1 you can read and post to the Spoiler thread.
