My Civ2 is 1.06 (I think.) 1996.
I saw Civ2 for sale in a new double jewel case for $9.98. Would this be a later version?
I have just gotten a new Dell Inspiron computer with Win ME. After I downloaded the 2.42 patch, the music quit playing. Really upset me.
So I reinstalled the game and left off the patch. Still no music.
Then I rebooted a few times and the music is back. I just don't know how long it will keep playing! And every time I start the game I hold my breath until I hear the music.
Right now I don't want to download a driver for this new computer. Why would any of the drivers be old? This is 900mhz,GeForce2Go graphics, 256mg.
Do you think this version I saw in the new jewel case would be a later version? Would it be worth the chance to get it and install it over the version I have? Would that give me the music with no problem?
I don't want to lose my music again.
