What is the usual frequency of the renowal of your computer ?

Make a new one and poll it this time. :)

For me: I upgrade a part of my computer at least every 6 months....I am never on the cutting edge but stay at a comfortable (money wise) distance from it. :)

My parents won't get a newish computer, and I don't have any money to upgrade, not that it would be worth it on my old thing... 1999 400mhz Celeron, 128 mb RAM, and a HUGE 8MB GRAPHICS CARD!!!

I use to be an upgrading freak during my uni days, but have toned down a lot now, after been working for the last couple of years. I hadn't touched my computer innards for the last 2 years, almost. 'Cause I don't play much of anything on my PC now, and only use it to log onto CFC, amongst other sites...

I'll be planning on getting a new desktop, or maybe a notebook for my home in M'sia, so that I'll have something there during the weekend. :)

I'm starting to feel it, now. Back in '99 I had a 400mhz celeron, 64mb ram, intergrated video (can you say 'first pc?'). I upgraded it to 128mb ram, that made it a bit faster.

Back in 2001 I bought a refurbed 850mhz Athalon, it's still running. I want to upgrade, but can't afford it. But it runs Civ for me, so I guess I can't be too picky.
