Because it reminds me of the terror I will soon unleash upon my foes:devil:

    I like the quote for the Sydney Opera House;
"Those who lose dreaming are lost."
I think the quote is very philosophic but I have yet to fully understand what those aborigines means with it.

"A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse!" Shakespeare (Richard III) , Horseback Riding

For some reason it sounds funny the way the narrator says it :p

The katun is established at Chichen Itza. The settlement of the Itza shall take place there. The quetzal shall come. The green bird shall come. Ah Kantenal shall come. It is the word of God! The Itza shall come!

I build Chichen Itza just to hear this one. :)

@Holmium: Dreaming is central to the Australian aborigines' spiritual worldview that is completely foreign to western thinking. They cannot imagine a life lived without it.

There are so many good quotes in this game and it is one aspect that makes it so enjoyable. Many of the those listed above I can agree with and understand why they are favorites. But the Chichen Itza quote just thrills me each time I hear it. I also like both the quotes from Socrates.

So.... If I never dream at night, should I be worried?

So they refer to dreams as you have asleep, and not dreams as in desires?

Because I could see it meaning if you have nothing to strive for, what is the point of living.

"The unleashed power of the atom has changed everything save our modes of thinking, and we thus drift toward unparalleled catastrophes."
    -Albert Einstein

Rather relevant, given the current situation with NKorea.

My favourite by a mile. It's just how the narrator builds it up when he says the quote that I love. I usually slowly raise the volume on my speakers during the speech. I try to build Chichen Itza in every game I play.

"With the magnificence of eternity before us, let time, with all its fluctuations, dwindle into its own littleness."

I also like building the Statue of Liberty just to hear the part from The New Colussus.

    Agriculture Tech:
"Where tillage begins, other arts follow. The farmers therefore are the founders of human civilization"

they should really change it so you see the Agriculture tech popup like the other ones at the beginning of the game.
