This can be any card game or a game that you can play on a 52 or 54 (if you include the jokers) pack of cards.

My favourite is a game called (alteast that's what I call it,) Presiden-Scum. There are so many variations of this game and many names for it. The good thing about this game is that you can have more than one deck to play with.

Cheat  Although you really need about 4 players for it to be good.

Edit: I was using the family friendly name Amenhotep ;)

Big two, dao da, President, dow dai, da er, dai yi, etc.

All names for my favourite card game.

B.S. (a.k.a "Cheat") and Five (or Seven) Card Stud.

Is any of those 'chor dai di' (Hokkien term)? That's a local fave here too. :)

Yeah, that, and the name they use in Furuba. I forgot the name though... I'll go look for it.

EDIT: It was Dai Hin Min

Texas Hold Em'

Cheat. It is such fun wearing a shirt-you can hide around 20 cards in the top pocket really stealthily :yeah:

Bridge !!!

I know everybody has this kind of reprobation. But this game let's very little to chance, especialy when you play at a club or 4 against 4 on 2 separate tables (there your opponent plays the same hand you play, and you compare the scores).

There is a great deal of strategy and conventions to study and try (a bit like chess), but it is also a team game.

The problem is that it is quite time consuming (had mutch more time in college), you have to keep at it to not loose too mutch (like in chess) and it is hard to find opponents outside clubs.
