What is your playing style?

Rapid expansion X10 is how I play. It usually means I don’t play higher than 6 though… but the style has a lot of self-handicapping elements to make up for it. Like I usually go for a major land choke even if its 10 cities away(worth of distance), which is a huge society drain until I manage to fill in the blanks between these cities with more cities. I have done that with up to four choke points, there by isolating up to half the map to just my capital alone, or perhaps a stray Civ or two that I end up boxing in with myself. (these must die first then usually) Once at that point, it’s a fun struggle to survive all the pissed off AI for doing what I did, plus the huge swaths of land that I boxed off to myself ends up being a barb spawning bed of nuisance. (though its handy for recovering enemy settlers as free workers from them)

I can’t seem to stop playing like this I find it so fun.

So its domination all the way usually...

2 - 4 cities sword/legion rush to crush nearest neighbor or 2. Fill in techs a while, then on to longswords and crush the next 2 or finish off anyone else left on my continent. Sometimes if I have a wonder builder neighbor, I'll let him spend his time doing that, then conquer him. India, Inca, and the Hawaii guys are especially good for that. Generally go for Dom wins and fall back to Science win if domination becomes too tedious.

my play style is sub par, inefficient, non-confrontational expansion until about turn 150 when it is a foregone conclusion that it is a loss. then i do it all over again. "science victory for the lose."

I spam around 5 cities in the beginning so I have 6,and 3 cities I set on Research Poitns and the others on like, real building. Later in game I have like Cannons,Infantry etc while they are still derping around with pikemen

My games looks all the same (noble). Three or four cities, Hanging Gardens and Temple of Artemis in capital. Sometimes AI attacks me. Usually I wait for artillery to conquer others because moving all pikes or swords to get a city is so annoying. Most of the time I focus on giving AI gold and sign with them research agreements. What else? I end the games with science victory. Domination needs lots of time: conquer cities, raze them, put one city in good location, wait, raze again, put one city... I have tried higher levels and it is not for me. I can live with tons of cities and units from AI but problems with happiness are killing me :)

Rush the GL, use it on philosophy, adopt liberty, build national college, build 2nd city from free settler on liberty, build all GS wonders, etc etc

4 tall cities in the capital area with mass puppets once the continent is mostly settled by AIs (thanks for the free cities and buildings)

I am not allowed to start wars, except if world police is needed. Then I must teach a lesson to some superpower and liberate occupied city states. I try to win space victory.

At King and above, the AI can sustain a much larger population because of its happiness bonuses. They leads directly to more income and much greater research than the human. Couple this with the production bonuses, reduce unit upkeep etc, then you really need to play one way to win - ultra-efficient, playing the game very cynically.

Varies, tend to build tall empires for peaceful wins, and large puppet empires for doms. Usually I've decided my play style by the time I've chosen a leader. Total war from the beginning (choice wise, not the option) can be real fun, killing foreign scouts really sets the scene. I try to play peaceful though and then some idiot will DoW me, then it's not over til I have their capital. Mainly splay on emperor, then the AI doesn't have too much of a ridiculous lead and you can just play not plot, if you know what I mean.
