Very, very true, and don't forget EVERY wonder as well, which is the main reason i wager war in civ 3 (to create great leaders and as such be able to build epic hero and so). I hate it even i can't win every line in the game on the same time (to be able to win diplomatic as well as the space race, victory points, culturallly, dominance and conquests)
BTW in civ 2 i used to build coastal fortresses even next to a small lake

No, but only because the carrack and F-15 weren't options.

But what do I know? I thought Peru was a country not a colour.

Tomoyo, I am a HARDCORE Warmonger.

But I am an economist! I build up a superior economy with lots of useless buildings to produce tons of military units afterwards! :)
