When you do get Civ4 what level will you play first? I will play Chieftain...any one going to try a regent game? ;)

I will probably play it down on Regent level, just to get accustomed to the new features.

Deity a couple of times, and then, when I have enough mud in my face, I will try regent. And then, if they still kick my ..., then, I will play some Civ III as a revenge.

Probably Emperor. ;)

Granted, that depends on what the levels are called...

Probably Chieftain :rotfl:

This is get used to the interface and find everything, discover the effects of playing features at their extremes, and taking risks.

I'll be playing this one online though. I have never played Civilization against another person (except GOTM and a post in the CivNet thread)

How would a game against the Civ4 mods sound? :)

I'm a monarch player who has just had a few eye opening games at Emperor, so I probably not going to try to push myself too hard. I also would like to know all the new features.

That being said, I probably won't drop all the way to chieften, since things will be way too easy. I think I'll try Regent and, but will consider if I should drop to Warlord.

I will probably start back at cheiftian or warlord. Play for 100 turns till i have the general idea, and then start a real game at regent or monarch and begin to work my way back up the dificulty levels.

I'll play a game at an easy difficulty level to get used to any new features, and then go to monarch.

I usually start playing a new game at the level below the medium level.

Possibly back down to Chieftan level

I'll probably play at Monarch or something like that. Can't be too hard, right? ;)

I'll start at chieftain just to get used to it; I'll try and make my second game on regent.

Diety or highest level. Then down to chieftian as I would have lost.

I'll never understand those of you who want to jump right into Deity and get destroyed. What exactly is that going to teach you? How to lose? ;) Start out at a level where's you'll be comfortable and try to figure the game out. For me, I'll probably try whatever the default level is (Regent if they haven't changed it).
