What is the differene between a regular mod and a "Super Mod." Lefty is the only one who is "super." Does this mean he can do something special that, oh let's say Padma or col, can't do?

Basically, a Super-mod can moderate forums which they aren't mod of in an emergency, or if there's something really important to take care of. Regular mods also have Temporary Emergency Super-mod powers, but that's only used in an extreme emergency.

It is jurisdictional. I have authority to moderate all forums, whether I am listed for them or not. It is not a rank or grade; I do not have authority to supervise other moderators, only what influence I may have with them. Other moderators have the actual 'super moderator' powers, without the title, to edit posts and threads in all forums, but are only to use them outside their listed forums:
1. When no discrestion or judgement is need for the action.
or
2. When there is an urgent situation or a current disruption, like a flame war.
Since I rarely venture outside the forums I am named for, the distinction is largely honorary.

Three of the fifteen current moderators, Thunderfall (of course), Smash, & Matrix, have been on staff longer than I, hence that part of my signature 4 0f 15. Sun Tzu (Originally Gregorious Lux at the former CFC furons in the civiliztion section of strategy gaming) was Thunderfall first staff member and moderator (that I know of). As you see from my poster ID#, 10, I am one of the longest term members, but i did not join the staff until about a year after this UBB/VBB forum was started; too lazy.
