i love beirut too! did you know that he didn't start making that music after his trips to europe? it's really all heavily influence by eastern european/balkan music. it's really not so different than the stuff my grandparents listened too. it's beautiful music. especially gulag orkestar!

one of the members belongs to neutral milk hotel, and in the aeroplane over the sea also has that balkan, eastern european folk feel to it too. but not as much as beirut's stuff.

you like mogwai too! tell me, what do you think of come on, die young as a record? and what do you think of the song cody?

Thats one view. I hold a very different myself. As someone who lives for music, I think i'll stick with my view.

The vast majority of music in General I find good ( not annoying and I'll leave it on if it's on the radio ) + there is a lot of music I don't like but, don't mind dancing too.

As far as my favorites and the type of music I like to listen to when I am by myself or to actually play, look at my favorites:
Indie Brazilian rock ( Los Hermanos - Gram - Moptop - Ludov etc )
Samba
Samba-Reggae
Samba-Rock
Ska
Funky Jazz type stuff mostly

I'm bisexual, currently (Hormones may change their ways) :p

But still, I know very few guys who like Mew. Still, girls dig it. I love to be the "sensible artist"-character ;)

Classical (esp. Bach, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, anything luceafarul recommends to me), late 90's gangster rap, and certain classic rock and 80's music.

I heard my fav band, Mew, was inspired by Muse, and bought a cd to listen a bit.

The only song I like so far is Starlight. :( The rest is, meh, dunnow...

Starlight is an awesome piece though.
