What other games do you play regularly?

Its still mostly Dota (the warcraft one) and Diablo 2, Median XL, for me.
Some neverwinter nights, I have an epic dwarf monk

For most, its Mount and Blade.

@Quintillus: Chivalry is the bomb! :c5war:

Isn't it? I've been slipping in mention of it whenever opportunities come up in All Other Games. I've settled into a few favorite load-outs, namely vanguard with claymore, knight with sword of war or maul, vanguard with spear, javelinman, or pyromaniac man at arms with an oil pot and fisticuffs.

But even though I'm OK at most modes, I'm terrible at duels. I'm something like 15-90 when duelling. So I guess if you ever encounter me in Chivalry, you want it to be in a duel!

MY comp typewriter cant handle any modern game... no graphics card, just 4 gb ram :(

I didn't realize AOE3 was 2005 game. I just spouted that off the top of my head. Steam is weird in that they list release dates often as the date it got added to the steam library or something, and the screenshots looked better than the game itself. Oh well, it's not a huge issues I just wasn't prepared to play a throwback.

4GBs of RAM is enough for now. I have very few games that even use it all.

Graphics card is kind of important though, so is the CPU.

If you have 4gb of ram I'm going to assume your mobo is new enough to support a good pci video card. Video cards are pretty cheap, a gtx 460 is a few years old now and about $120 bucks but it'll run all new games as long as you don't crank the dynamic lighting and shadows.

I cant play CIv5 because of that. Didnt even try to get Diablo 3 .
My mobo ( thats what its called these days ? ) is Asus, 128 mb on board graphics ...

AOE3, age of wonders shadow magic with BNW mod, Heroes of might and magic 6, Command and conquers generals and kane's wrath,
All of it depends of my mood!!

I heard heroes of mm 6 sucked. Is that the case? I haven't played any of the others so I'd have no basis for comparison if I did get it.

Command & Conquer: Generals is awesome, but the C&C series is the biggest let-down of videogaming for me:

The original was great, Red Alert was fantastic, then Tiberian Sun was awful, and for a while I ignored the series. When Red Alert 2 came out was the last time a new game really got my hopes up. Red Alert 2 wasn't even bad, and was a lot better than Tiberian Sun, but it couldn't match my hopes for the game. Ever since, I no longer count on anything to be good anymore until I play a demo, read a bunch of reviews, and visit the forums. Just part of growing up, I guess. Only a year after it came out did I bother giving Generals a try, and it was good enough that it became the last C&C game I've bought to date.

i heard all the latter might & magics are bad compared to similar first-person RPGs... ultima underworlds, elderscrolls, deus ex, betrayal at's, ....

Specifically what I've read from players (not big reviews like ign, those are always positive) about heroes of mm 5 and 6 is similar to what I've read from civ players regarding civ5. Basically they said the games got better and better reaching the epitome at 4, then the devs significantly dumbed it down for 5, although 5 was still a decent game. Then 6 came out, was even more simplified and buggy as hell. So it's really hard to tell if a lot of the negatives were bugs that are now fixed or the game really is bad. Plus it's hard to tell if someone not familiar with the series would really enjoy the simpler sequels similar to how players new to civ seem to eat up 5 and be turned off by 4.

Anyway, titles before 5 aren't available on steam but I found a complete collection 1-5 with xpacs on amazon for under $20 so maybe I'll try it.

Heroes of Might and Magic 2 is still my all-time favorite. 3 and 4 were almost as good, but I felt that the balance between different sides had already begun to slip noticably by the time 4 came out.

Lol, yeah, it's hard to know which one is meant sometimes. Heroes of Might and Magic is too long to type all the time, so lots of people just call it MM, which is what Might and Magic fans would call that game.
