What should I do with this spot?

What should I do with the island in this picture? The game is Emp marathon huge 18 civ big small no vassal huts on events on. Saved start is at the bottom. I moved 1 till north west.

I don't know why but its marathon not epic. Even when my last game I played was epic.

looks like a "great lighthouse = win" game.
try to settle a few islands and/or find AIs and open boders to get oversea or foreign trade routes

Should I built the glh on the island city or my main or does it matter?

Settle the hills east to block any AI's that might be that way (if your not totally isolated) and build the GLH. I wouldn't settle the island city at all as you can work both the seafood from mainland cities and actually get some early production from them as well.

Unless it's a very low difficulty game I can't imagine building the GLH on the island city before someone else grabs it anyways.

Settle on the island, it gives +1 commerce to every city (intercontinental trade).

Agreed with Gocho, you're not going to get the GLH on a 1 tile island, you should probably build 1 or 2 cities first (the plains hill east of the sheep wuld be ok if you get grassland in the east) The 1 tile island would be good but It can wait a little later IMO

I agree with the opinions here. I'd say the island will make an excellent GP farm or a good MS city. There is another good GP farm site in the north...wow.

Settle the island, the clam/clam/fish site up north, and maximize coastal spots in between the cities. Build the glh in persepolis using whip overflow from settler/worker builds. You can't lose from there, imo...especially if you're Darius. Might even have a good shot at the 'mids too. (would go for them in the clam/clam/fish site, to generate at least one GE for the GLib)
