What were the totally rad kids' shows of yesteryear?

Vote for the shows of which you were a fan during your youth.

If you don't see your favorites, just tell us about it in a post. Sorry, but these shows may have been exclusively shown in North America. For the internationals, post the shows you enjoyed with a description.

BTW, I didn't list the Simpsons because, well who doesen't like the Simpsons?

P.S. This poll is obviously biased towards my generation. Sorry. I treid to include many timeless classics. But there was so much quality children's programming in the '80s. That was the golden age of children's shows.

Is there a poll coming? Ahh yes.

Mighty Mouse and Mister wizard plus:
Howdy doody
Winkie dink and You
Tom Terrific and his wonder dog manfred
Hopalong cassidy
Sky King
ozzie and harriet (with Ricky nelson)
Ed Sullivan
Father knows best
Buddy Dean show
Leave it to Beaver
Beat the clock
:D

Classics like looney toons, darkwing duck, and tailspin plus alot of the others, I was not very picky, though I actually watched far less TV then than I do now, including kids TV ;)

Sure it counts. But I wouldn't admit it.

H.R. Puff n' Stuff was on before I was a kid, but they show it on T.V. Land so I watch it sometimes. No wonder so many kids were druggies in the '70s. Good god.

How can you include Transformers and leave off GI Joe?

The only other omission that is important to me is Animaniacs, which I guess wasn't really on until I was in college anyway. I'd still kill for a copy of that universe song where we're all "tiny little specks about the size of Mickey Rooney." Nothing like a little existenialsim with your cartoons.

G.I. Joe. That should have been included. Although I enjoyed playing with the action figures more than watching the show, so that is what I associate it with.

Shows I watched as a kid in France were Goldorak, Albator, Les mondes engloutis, and my all-time favourite, The Zodiacal Knights. Oh boy.
Thing is, my parents chose to live without TV, so I was able to watch it quite infrequently. I remember a lot of other shows, but none came close to my fav 4...

Exo Squad was the best cartoon ever.

A few annoying omissions are Hey Dude, Clarissa Explains It All, The Secret World of Alex Mack, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain.

And yes, you did omit The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. And yes, I did watch and love that show.

Pinky and the brain is a classic.

Also, the Gummy bears, teddy rupskin adventure (didnt catch the ending if any)

It's a little obscure, but you may be thinking of Visionaries. The action figures all had little holograms on their chests?

EDIT: Oh, yeah! I actually liked the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, now that I think of it.

Fraggle Rock was my favourite when I was a little toddler. Also Thundercats.

Of your list, the only one I liked was Looney Tunes. I still like them now. :)

I agree also with the people who like Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain.

Other old ones I like are Tom and Jerry, Donald Duck and of course, the Simpsons.

Some new ones I like are Futurama, Power Puff Girls and Dexter's Lab.

I hate cartoons that have too serious a story or too obvious "good guys" and "bad guys".

I'm one of those freaks who doesn't like The Simpsons.

I voted for Mighty Mouse, but Loony Toons would be a close 2nd.
Failed to mention The Real Ghostbusters.

i think i used to watch fraggle rock, if its the one where puppets lived undergrown and there was that dog .
looney tunes ,teenage mutant ninja turtles, rockos modern life, cow and chicken, i am weasel (or was it i r baboon?) and the last cartoon i wacthed alot of was ed edd & eddy which is still on i think.
