What system are you running C3C on?

P4 3.0 GHz, 1 GB Corsair XMS RAM, ASUS P4C800E Deluxe, Geforce 4 TI4600, Audigy, WD 200 GB and 60 GB, Windows XP Pro. :D

P4 3.0Ghz 512Mb DDR, ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb, SB Audigy 2, 200Gb Hard Drive, 19 in monitor, ADSL.

P4 3.0 GHz, 1 GB Corsair XMS RAM, ASUS P4C800E Deluxe, Geforce 4 TI4600, Audigy, WD 200 GB and 60 GB, Windows XP Pro.

All these awesome systems.....:envy:

mine is bigger ;)
Athlon XP 2600+, 1024MB RAM, 17" LCD Monitor, ATi Radeon 9700 Pro and Audigy 2.

I am feeling slightly humbled. I thought I had a good system, but now I see people with processors almost twice the speed of mine, and 256ish more Mb of RAM (Now, you do NOT need 1 Gig of Ram, THAT is excess . . . ), I have recently upgraded to a 200 Gb HD though, and I see people with Video Cards twice the Speed of mine . . .

*Shaking fist and getting green with envy, then realizing my machine is good enough*

If I decide to buy Half-Life 2, then I will need a better graphics card . . .

My AWESOME Celery 400mhz with 128mb RAM. I only play on standard, occasionally large maps. It's only slow when loading and in the very late stages of the game.

A p3-700 with 384MB and a GF2 GTS.

It is not as excessive as you think. My wife's system that I built is basically the same except she has 512 MB of Corsair RAM. You can really tell the difference with the 1 GB of RAM. Windows XP LOVES the RAM.

Yeah, I have been teetering on the edge of getting a new graphics card as well. Since the high end ones are a bit pricey I have been holding out. But Half-Life 2, or more likely DOOM 3, will definitely get me to buy. So I am waiting, probably to the next go around. Besides I have been playing mostly Civ3 lately. Let me just say that I have never gotten so much mileage out of a graphics card as my Geforce4 4600 (and I have had all kinds of 3D cards starting with my Orchid Righteous 3D Voodoo 1 card--remember those? :crazyeye: ).

P2.8 with 1 Gig Ram

Runs the huge maps really cool. Interesting when you have 150 workers on auto flying around the map with Chop sounds intermingled with rake and dig sounds.

Ive only had the machine for 2 weeks and before that was on a 500Mhz Celeron. Way too slow!

P4 2,8 Ghz GeForce 4 4400 / 1024 MB RAM or, mostly:
Centrino 1,5, i855GM shared Memory, 512 MB RAM (Acer TravelMate 291 LMi, but 1,5 Ghz Pentium-M and 60 GB rather than 40 GB HD)

Both run fine. The lap is not too good for playing any shooters above Call of Duty and Max Payne 2 (MP2 runs only with reduced Details smooth). But Civ rocks. :)

i got a p4 2,66 ghz with 512 mb ram and 9700 radeon card.

i played civ3 (without c3c) before on a p2 400 with 256 mb and voodoo2 card. ran ok too :)

so doubt you got any probs

I currently run C3C on a PIII 700MHz with 256 MB of Ram. I was thinking of buying a cheaper laptop, Celeron 2.0 GHz with 256 MB of Ram... will Conquests run ok on a Celeron?

What are your system specs?

1.6 GHz Dell P4
256 MB ram - nowhere near enough, IMO. I need at least 1GB to feel sated.

I have a laptop with a pentium M 1.3 ghz, 512 RAM, Intel Extreme Graphics 2, Windows XP PRO
