Getting better and better... just slowly. Still dizzy and feels like I have my head filled with water some times.

Just found out yesterday when I had my second surgery, the 2 inch diameter piece of bone they took out because it wasn't healing right. Yes... that means I have a hole in my head... literally!

It may never heal properly.

Still pretty deaf. Like having an ear infection without the pain.

Couldn't they plug the hole with anything or is it going to always be there now?

I actually enjoy hearing loss, everything is so quiet and peaceful.

It's really actually quite astounding that they were able to preserve some hearing. It's very hard dealing with a ginormous tumor on the 8th nerve, and retaining its function.

Do you still have numbness? To be pedantic, 'numbness' is not a function of the facial nerve, but of the trigeminal nerve. It's further away, and any damage to it seems much more likely to heal.
