What type of laptop mouse device do you prefer

I usually use an external mouse too my notebook, dell inspiron 8100, comes with both trackpoint and pad. if i absolutely have no other choice i'll use the pad instead of a mouse. never used the point so far....

USB based wireless mouse, would be my pick if I had a laptop
Or based on any other port if there were any - but wireless would be smart for a laptop
