Well, what was it? Mine were building the pentagon by 700 AD and controlling every resource tile in the world by 1500 (same game).

Mine was swiping the UN from the Chinese in my first Deity game and winning by UN.

The Middle Ages conquest where I almost won with Cordova. I conquered Castile, France, Burgundy, Byzantium and the Abbasids, and captured two relics and sent them to Jerusalem...

Mine was when I finally moved up to Monarch difficulty, the same as my brother is using. Sadly, I still haven't won any games on Monarch...

Back in the early days of Civ3, I was on my third or fourth game of Civ3 (warlord level). Caught up in an epic struggle for victory. ;) I was losing the histograph race and could not catch up. There were about 5 turns left in the game, before 2050. As Germany, I was embroiled in a war on another continent. It just so happened that I earned a GL in battle. I had just enough time to transport him back to one of my cities and rush the UN. I won the vote with one turn to play. Woo-hoo! Quite a rush.

It's more memorable than any other win, even more than moving up in difficulty levels.

I liked this moment when i was the zulus and was dispatching my impies all over my territory to defend my city from thos bunch of units. The music was very sweet, the land very particular and well, i liked it.
I liked also invading those nations like crazy from time to time, linking all my actions with intelligence and agencement.
I liked crushing those weak and proud nations early in a multiplayer game like a mad by killing only one city of each, in some early turns.
I liked... loved to conquer Carthage and the other fools in the Roman Conquest scenario. I liked also being a warlord and crush Bysance. Being Portugal in the conquistador scenario was cool also.
But now i'm full of those vanilla games that seem all the same... conquer and ask for tribute, conquer and ask for tribute, reshearch some, conquer again and dominate. I want something else. Something that allow other paths. a new and different challenge. Something like more intra-relations in our civ, something that emulate the real way of a civilization just like the rise and the fall of Rome in one single and epic game.

Mine was my first deity win, with the Egyptians, getting a diplomatic victory in 1100 AD.

Lauching my First Spaceship, after my only source of Al, the Chinese, declaired war on me (BTW, I responded with :nuke: weapons  ). So I traded all my industrial techs to the Astecs and go the Al from them to complete the Party Lounge [party]. I got less score with that victory than with the diplomantic victory, but it was still cool :).

five minutes ago when realised how powerful art's are!

i followed eveyones advise and shipped of loads along my modern armour armys.

declared war and lanched the attack.. took a few citys, not much happened, bit dissapointed, this games moved up a difficulty notch for the first time and i underestimated the number of units!

they move troops towards the nearest city, they move more troops, they move more troops, they move more troops, they move more troops,!!!! ARGH

a 46 SOD (ok, for me thats insane, ive never dealt with more than five or six!)

ARGH, what am i meant to do!?!?

using my artys i blow it to bitz! every unit redlined, and then cleaned up with armys.

WOW ive never crushed so much, and its all thanks to your advice!

The first time I won a military victory before the ADs hit four digits. It was back in the old tournament days, domination or conquest specified, and I just went for it, all out, hardly built anything but units. I had no idea the game could be played like that, before I actually did it.

When the mighty Greek Empire went though a series of back-stabbing genocidal wars, taking out 4 opposing Civs before finally settling down for a histograph win. First went Egypt, then Rome, then Germany, and finally England. No nation on the planet could resist the Greek War Machine. I even mobilized while I was conquering Germany.

still waiting for mine... havnt won by conquest or domination, i want to but prefer to be a superpower instead. have played 3 ganes on regent won by wonder victory9forget to switch it off!) diplomatic and space race. highest score about 4000. do u think i should win by domination/conquest b4 going up a level? also i have only won games on a large or huge world size, keep losing on average y?!!

my first emperor win i had a hard time to get from monarch to emperor

Playing a Regent game, huge, continents map.
My civ (Japanese) was in a continent close (2 tiles) to another continent. It was the "Very Early" Medieval Era. I had conquered almost all my continent, and the other one had only one civ, the Spanish, which were stronger than me, demanding things and getting in my territory. I couldn't get in a war with them, 'cause they were stronger, so I waited until I got Samurai.
I made 40 Samurais and put them all to attack one Spanish city, one which had Iron, conquered the city, triggered my Golden Age, and put all my production to Samurais and Galleys.
The result: I got 14 cities from them, left them with only 4 cities (which I conquered later, when I got bored).

It was GREAT!!!

Playing as the Romans. Huge pangaea map. It was on the difficulty just below Emperor, I forget if that's Monarch or Regent.... :)

First off, my Moment of Greatest Triumph actually spanned a week, I was taking so damn long to make my moves. Second, the Moment of Triumph was preceded by a moment of Terror. Shortly into my Modern Age the Persians launched a sneak attack. In a rare display of strategic genius, the AI attacked the weakest area of my northwest border--with an unbelievable stack of EIGHTY-FIVE infantry units!!

I spent fifteen minutes gaping at the screen, my jaw having made a really ugly dent in the floor. The AI was not supposed to do this sort of thing!

That was the Moment of Terror. I was certain I was about to get my ass kicked--but my brave and noble modern tanks were ready for the challenge, and wiped out the Persian offensive completely in three turns!!!

My counter-offensive wiped Japan and Persia off the map and doubled Rome's territorial holdings.
