What would you do?

I am trying to improve my play.

Fractal, Emp, Arabia.

The situation is; 400AD everyone loves me, all but one is my main religion and I appear to be number 1 or 2 in Tech

However, I got boxed in early and can only expand through war, have zero military atm.

What would you do?

My normal course of action would be; Get Hannibal to flip to a different religon while building up military then Attack Hannibal (Bribe Washington to help if possible)

Is there a better choice?

I'd suggest shooting for cavalry or, if you don't have horses, grenadiers and taking Hannibal + one other civ (preferably on your other side if that option is diplomatically feasible). Then gun for space race as with that map domination could be difficult/time-consuming.

edit: building up a medieval army at this point from scratch is probably not the best idea, especially if you have a nice tech situation.

I'd go take him out... or at least give yourself some more breathing room.

Hannibal's capital is right there...you could cripple then take him out quite easily imo once you hit cavalry. Should be a short war and he'll have many mature cottages for you.
