What would you say to the Developers

...
No, I don't want to know any more.

I'm have to say one word: guacamolie

I agree. Persia is better because you can see lots of thing with Persia, like with France, England, and lots of others, while with Iran...

I'd ask for civil wars, provinces, and minor civs. And keep the leader head system the way it is in civ 3. And keep the civ bonus system the same (Scientific, Religious, etc.).

I would say, "Think about the people with older computers" :p

I would say, "If there is only one right choice, it's not a strategy game." Make sure there are real choices to make, and try to balance them as best you can.

I second Sirian's opinion!

-i would say 'please, please, please, review the graphics and GUI choices you're making. currently, it looks like <mod_edit>. if you're making the switch to 3D for gameplay reasons then fair enough; if you're doing it for commerce then take a moment to wonder if the new fans you get balance out the existing fans you lose'.

I would say to the developers, "MAKE THE ANCIENT/ EARLY MIDIEVAL AGE LONGER. ROME DIDN"T RISE AND FALL IN 40 TURNS. The ancient age is fun. I wish it could be divided up into 3 ages. Bronze, iron, late iron."

p.s. if anyone knows of a mod that does this please tell me.

If i would have the chance to tell them sth, it would be sth like
"Thank you ..., thx for all the enjoyable hours" :goodjob: and, as i realized the summery of the buildings in civ 4
"Please don't remove all this modern buildings  like the stock market, solar plant, research lab etc., i would have sth to build exept for building units, building units and building units!" ;)

:D

Make the end-game competitive.

Isn't Persia western name of Iran?

no, persia is the western name for an empire that covered parts of Iran, and lasted for a long time. The persia in civ 3 had xerxes, who eattacked the greek city states before the roman empire existed. Persia is ancient Iran...i guess but Iran is a modern nation state not an ancient empire

In game:
"I will trade you a 20 turn supply of Jolt cola for Civ IV"

Out of game:
"Please, please consider the idea of "generic" religions (as explained in other threads) that allow for gameplay choices and remove most of the potential offensive rather than RL religions!"

"Take your time. I won't be able to buy it until I get out of grad school anyway, so might as well make the game better. (Other players? What other players?"

I also second the cowbell.

I'll drink to that!

I agree with this. But if I can only say one thing, I would say:

"If I have to make a thousand tiny decisions each turn because my AI subordinates cannot be trusted to make intelligent choices and because there are insufficient ways to make those decisions in batches, then it's not a strategy game, it's a slogfest. Give me the tools to reduce the number of trivial decisions I need to make, and let me focus on the big picture and the important decisions."

I want to be able to complete a game within a few hours on something other than the smallest maps, without having to sacrifice the quality of my play by allowing the AI to make foolish decisions on my behalf.
