The situation is constantly changing. Maps are not important: if you want, you can make a map of your own and post it up.

I won't just because I fear that, by being the one to "start" this thread, I will give it more legitimacy than it deserves.

Instead of me doing an overview, I invite all players to summarize the current standings of 3-5 powers as they see it, and I can adjudicate conflicts instead.
