What'll you have on your dog?

so far I have yet to meet one person who dislikes a hotdog (that dosen't Include Vegitarians, people who never had one, or people who are somehow disgusted by whats in them.)

Well, ye have met one now. I don't like 'em, and am not a huge fan of snags full stop. Dislike them, and never eat them as a consequence. Give me a pie anyday.

Nothing.

A good dog needs nothing on it at all.

Sure if you eat a bad dog - in other words, any American frankfurter - you'll need to add stuff to give it any real flavour. But a good dog needs no additions. Why cover up something that's excellent? You only need to cover up the second-rate.

Where do you get a good dog? In Germany of course. The original German smokey frankfurter recipe is different to the later American one. And of course you may a different lind of sausage altogether like Bratwurst. And a good beer to go with it!

Here in Britain it's pretty difficult to get a hot dog except in cinemas and at death-trap fast-food caravans parked outside nightclubs. McDonalds did them for a while but I think they've stopped now. This is huge shame as I love them.

Anyway, there are only 2 sauces available here where hotdogs are sold - ketchup and mustard. You can usually get fried onions on them too. Great choice huh? :(

you only got corndogs there? just like Mr.T .....I PITY YOU FOO!

Those European comments about quality dogs, stormerne, remind me that North Americans eat like worms. The distractive topping is necessary, else I'd think about snouts and unwashed bum holes. Oh yes, it's 100% beef... excluding most of the bones.

I definitely need strong mustards on my dogs. Perhaps a little horseradish or paint thinner.

Well I'm a Buddhist so make me one with everything....

Mustard, mayo, grated cheese, chopped raw onions. Occasionally, either bacon bits or hot sauce to add a little zing.

You'll get banned around here with anti-American remarks like that! RM will insist that you appear before one of America's little show trials we're going to have. Bad move, Homie.

Anyway, I hate hot dogs. I eat Dodger Dogs. With onion, relish, ketchup (not that nasty casup stuf) and a dab of good ol' American style mustard. And they must be grilled.

They tried to change the way things were done at Dodger Stadium a few years ago and were actually boiling our Dodger Dogs!!!!

Needles to say, such blashpemous activity came to a speedy and inglorios end. Shame on you Rupert Murdoch!!!

Aieeee! Poor Rupert is a product of my home town. Sorry.
Anyway, hot dogs are an American thing, to me, and one does not partake in them out of choice. One has had them before, but they taste worthless and horrible. One prefers a burger or a pie...
But Munich style mustard is the best for snags.
