So in my search to solve a computer problem with regards to Elden Ring, @Synobun pointed me in the right direction to fix the issue. Would that count as a solution? It should. Or do such helpful results have to happen in a fixed place or in a fixed format?

I believe it is only for threads specifically created asking for a solution.. and that not available forum wide? Might even have been turned off completely.

AFAIK it's a feature that needs to be enabled forum-wide, not per thread. It'd be one solution per entire thread, as well. If you really wanted to give me an imaginary point, you'd have to split that exchange to its own thread in a place where solutions are enabled.

That is currently correct, and solutions are only enabled here.
They can be enabled on a per-forum basis, and threads can be converted afterwards (if you have moderator rights).

That could be argued with. The OP could mark in theory later another/later answer as correct/better.
It would prevent spam though.
I guess this is a 50/50 thing.
