Hi

I've just started civ3, never played 2, but used all my time for a couple of years on civ1. There it was my experience, playing emperor, that it was more challenging playing towards two opponents than six.

With few civs, there is to much space for one or more civs to grow way to large before you have a chance to meet them. With lots of opponents(>10) the world is filled when everybody has 10-15 cities, and nobody gets to big to kill...

I've read some posts here and if I understand right, the number of resources also is dependent of the number of civs. This explains some of the complaints I've seen on lack of resources, and it makes the game more difficult with fewer civs...

Another thing that annoyed me in civ, and still isn't up to my requirements: Some of the statements in the civiliopedia: "Reduces corruption" Does annyone know the formula used?

Unlike the library or the marketplace "increases with 50%"...

I would like to hear if anybody has conducted testing in this area
